Interesting to look at Bobby Hull’s totals. He left for the WHA in his early 30s otherwise he’d had more goals than 604. I’m sure he would’ve hit 700 easily.
For so many years I remember Maurice Richard’s 544 goals being the gold standard. It seemed like a number nobody was going to reach.
Going to be exciting watching him pass a lot of people on that list.
I know it ain’t true, but there is something poetic that the Bruins all-time leader’s name sounds like he’s a grizzled, chain smoking cop who played hockey for some extra scratch and once killed a cross-eyed guy for no reason.

I know we all have a right to be upset about the failures of the team in the last decade, I’ve even been leading the charge in that department but I think we have to put all that stuff aside to appreciate what we’ve witnessed and taken for granted from him. He’s the best player to ever put this jersey on and should be celebrated in a big picture sense.

I dunno if it’s the kids on this sub that are obsessed with this stuff, but after years of playoff disappearances, my current Leafs brain is 100% in “show up in the playoffs or none of this matters” mode.
