Just need a moment of appreciation for how silly this looks. Did anyone else notice him down there? If you watch the video, you can see him victoriously shake his hand facedown on the iceđŸ˜‚

Something else interesting I noticed about this goal is that #9 on Columbus knocked Rust down from behind right before the shot was taken. I believe that’s what caused their goalie to lose sight of the puck. The slowed down footage appears to show their goalie tracking the puck to Rakell, but as Rakell is shooting the puck, Rust is falling over and is essentially horizontal and blocking the goalies view of the angle of the shot for a split second. At least in my highly uneducated opinion that’s what happened lol.
