I hope fans understand that Ducks management really had no choice but to move Z. He wanted out. We should be asking ourselves why he wanted out so bad even after he knew Joel Q was the next coach. Why did Z want to get out of Dodge so bad? Why have the Ducks completely collapsed this season? The answer to both those questions is exactly the same.
I always am baffled when I see a “you miss him yet anaheim?” Type comment. I can’t speak for everyone but I knew of no one who wanted Zegras traded so we missed him as soon as it was done. Haha.
Honest question for everyone who is lamenting the Zegras trade, would you have had this same reaction if McTavish got traded? Cause it was one or the other, not both.
Also our issue is defense. In his time here he showed to be a really weak defender.
