  1. Was watching the game listening to Hornets announcers. They were pretty excited, but you have to factor in that excitement is not something they are used to experiencing.

  2. And they should. The Thunder are an extremely good team and the defending champs. Just knowing you can play good enough to beat them on an off night during a B2B is something.

  3. This usually happens when the defending champs that have the regular season MVP get blown out by a bottom tier team

  4. That reaction will die down pretty soon if we don’t start playing better. It was something to brag about when we were 25-1 but after getting blown out by the Hornets it doesn’t seem like an accomplishment anymore.

  5. I’m cool with it. A couple of losses keeps our dudes humble and eager to work on their games.

    Let them celebrate. For now.

  6. It’s bad if they don’t. Imagine if we were treated like the other 29 teams tainting our league and their fans just brushed it over the next day.

  7. Glad you were insecure about using AI for such a simple/obvious/done-into-the-ground bit. You should be. Try harder.

  8. r/nba certainly love it. Gotta be at least 5-10 different posts about each loss lmao

  9. Gentle reminder, if we finish in first this year it’s the third year in a row we’ve had the #1 seed.

  10. Of course teams are going to be happy about beating the reigning champions and MVP. Doesn’t excuse playing like shit. I hate these posts. Give a fuck how teams react. We need to be better.

  11. **WE WERE THE SAME WAY JUST LAST YEAR!!!!!!!!!!** When you’ve never had a fucking championship to brag about and you’ve been worn down by “the narrative” regarding the multiple MVPs who left OKC you too get hyped over beating the Warriors or snuffing the Nuggets or skull dragging KD’s team of the year.

It’s wild that now the Thunder are the champs and our *hardcore* fanbase is acting ike they gotta set the Warriors win record and again be 15+ games above 2nd place. These men are tired and injured. To still be 1st place is a **blessing**.

The Suns, Hornets, Spurs, Wolves, Blazers….they ain’t resting players anymore. They are popping the Thunder in the mouths as they’re signaling to their fanbases that they too can beat the champions. **AND THEIR FANS ARE HYPED**

    …Just like we were
