1. Lots of politics in minor hockey, expensive registration and expensive equipment (even more so for goalies). Lack of heart and drive. Over dependent on skill.

3. It doesn't help that almost all Canadian hockey stars end up having their kids in the United States. There's not much chance for legacy players in Canada

The Palestinians killing Israel Olympic athletes and the '72 games going on like nothing happened ended me watching the Olympics.

Rosey always wants to blame the Toronto market, first of all Rosey, you were a bruiser, no one in the market cared about what you did, you were sitting in the stand as a scratch most of the time,so maybe the fans gave it to you you a little because you were in close proximity to them. Gilmour played here, Sunden played here, Clark played here, Sittler played here, McDonald, played here, they never had a problem playing here, We won 13 cups. It’s not the market, it’s the characters of the players, you can be a major star in this market if you give two F’s, and play with passion and heart,you would be loved forever in this market.
