  1. Walks in the door, shakes Mr Blanks hand and the only words spoken need to be you’re hired.

  2. Has to “interview” so we can also interview a minority candidate to satisfy the Rooney Rule.

  3. “Do you mind if I call you Matt?”

“Can you explain this gap in your resume between Winter 2022 and Fall 2023?”

  4. Honestly, if the rumors that he will continue to be on TV while he’s the president are true I don’t want it.

    Tired of half hearted efforts

  5. The Interview

Falcons: Now Matt we are legally required to interview you for this position

    Matt: Ok

Falcons: Do you want the job?

    Matt: That’s it?

    Falcons: Yes

  6. “Hey Matt, gonna need you to come on in and interview for the position we’re specifically creating for you personally. Bring an updated resume, kthnx”

  7. Really looking forward to having him around the organisation again, love my Iceman <3

  8. Matt has tenacity. And he def has understanding on the incredible nuance of the game, like needing to use Kyle differently.

I trust his football philosophy, which is exactly what president of operations is.

  9. If they win it all under him he should be the first person to lift the trophy, no one deserves it more.

  10. Imagine being one of the two Rooney Rule candidates. They should just bring in Roddy and Julio and make it a podcast episode.

  11. It’s about midway through the 3rd quarter in this job interview process and Matt has a big lead so far…

  12. I don’t really get this. What does Matt Ryan know about running a football team? I mean, he knows more than you or I. But he’s never been in football management before, which is different than being a QB. I’d much rather hire someone with proven football management experience.

I’ve never understood the idea that because someone was a great player that they’ll be great in a front office position.

  13. Yes, let’s bring in someone who’s never done the job that reports directly to Blank.
Not sure why y’all think things will change. 😂😂😂

  14. Anyone can speak to him not having this direct “Football President/GM” experience, or whatever they want. Some may have valid points.

I really don’t give a shit, the Falcons are a better organization with Matt Ryan in the building. I assure you he cares about this organization in a way others would not, he cares about Atlanta in a way others do not, and undeniably he does have immense football knowledge that should overlap with his duties in a positive way.

  15. I’m confused, isn’t president of football operations likes GM but business side? Or is he above the gm but below the CEO?

  16. I just dont get it from his perspective, this seems likely to be more work for less money than his TV gig
