Yesterday, I decided to research the head coach candidates' resumes. First, let's start with KLINT KUBIAK.
- Texas A&M (2010-11) – Offensive Quality Control Coach/Graduate Student (2012)
- Minnesota Vikings (2013-14) – Offensive Quality Control Coach/Quarterbacks coach (2019-20)/Offensive Coordinator (2021)
- Kansas (2015) – Wide receivers coach
- Denver Broncos (2016-19) – Offensive assistant/Passing gate coordinator & Quarterbacks coach (2022)
- San Francisco 49ers (2023) – Passing game coordinator
New Orleans Saints(2024) – Offensive coordinator- Seattle Seahawks (2025) – Offensive coordinator
Here are the stats for the teams KUBIAK was the offensive coordinator for:
- MINNESOTA VIKINGS (2021)
- PASSING OFFENSE: 11TH/RUSHING OFFENSE: 17TH/RECEIVING OFFENSE: 11TH/SCORING OFFENSE: 16TH

Curious about first half vs second half scoring though. SEA offense has nosedived. Worried that he’s not adjusting.
Klint kubiak or Stefanski are my choices. I am a hard no on Harbaugh who has a 28-36 record without Lamar. We need an offensive minded head coach.
Friendship ended with Klint Kubiak
Now John Harbaugh is my best friend
Honestly, his resume is not as impressive as people are making it sound.
Not saying he can’t be great but his numbers don’t make that seem like an obvious outcome
Don’t care. Harbaugh season in full swing. AB, spend whatever it takes. My left ball is available, and kidney.
Four teams in 4 years?
Yeah I’m not wowed at all with Kubiak. People making him out to be the next Shanahan when he’s had nowhere near the success
The thing that worries me about him is the Seahawks ST was crazy good.
Nope dont want him anymore.
Go all in on Harbaugh NOW. Thats the guy that can right the ship im sure of it!
Does anyone remember his stint with the Saints? Most points in first 2 or 3 games ever and then their offense was bad. You can say talent or whatever, he had many of the same people on the field when they began to suck before everyone got hurt.
Sometimes trying to replicate the McVay hire does not work
Pretty great resume considering he’s only had a year with each team. Shanahan first season in Atlanta was mediocre too. Takes time to install scheme
it would be worst offensively for seattle if it wasn’t for that crazy defense they have giving them a bunch of opportunities.
Yeah rather harbaugh
This is my pick.
I really don’t think Kubiak will be the hire, I could Stefanski being favoured over him.
Harbaugh v Kubiak
He honestly seems like the exact type of hire the Falcons would make and it backfire. I think a Defensive minded coach is fine if we can pair it with the type of OC who’s clearly not gonna get a a HC job. Like Harbaugh and Monkin or Flores and McCown.
One things I would like to see is the stats the year before and when they were there. Won’t paint the when picture because of player changes but it can show something.
Great work.
OK, THANKS!
AS is a nepo baby, but at least his dad had to network to get him the job. Klint kept getting hired by his dad directly, *and* those teams always sucked.
His resume doesn’t look very impressive
the 2021 Vikings had a below average defense in the league, which led to their HC Mike Zimmer and their GM being fired. the defense is why they finished 8-9 despite having an above average offense
some key 2021 defensive stats:
-93 points allowed in the final two minutes before halftime, an NFL “record” since the 1970 merger
-another 35 points allowed in the final two minutes at the end of games
-30th in total yards allowed
-30th in first downs allowed
-28th in passing yards allowed
-26th in rush yards allowed
-26th in penalty yardage
-25th in second half points allowed
-24th in scoring defense
-16th in defensive DVOA
-14th in red zone defense
-10th in INTs
-4th in 3rd down defense
-2nd in sacks
so it’s pretty impressive to me that Kubiak’s offense was that good, especially for a first-time play caller, when the other side of the ball could not stop teams at all on first or second down and gave up so many points at the end of halves
Kirk Cousins had a very good year targeting his WR trio of Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and KJ Osborn as well as TE Tyler Conklin: 4,221 yards, 66.3% completion, 33 TDs, 7 INTs, 103.1 QB rating, and a 58.3 QBR
they also had some key players on offense out with injury – Kirk missed a game; LT Christian Darrisaw, Adam Thielen, and RB Dalvin Cook each missed four games; and TE Irv Smith missed the entire season on IR
I’m cool
