CALCULATED: Los Angeles Dodgers’ QUIET OFFSEASON Could Turn BIG: Kyle Tucker & Freddy Peralta Rumors
Los Angeles Dodgers’ quiet offseason could turn into a blockbuster as rumors swirl about a potential move for Kyle Tucker. Can patience and precision deliver another championship piece? Harry Ruiz and Travis Rogers break down why the Dodgers have opted for calculated signings like Edwin Diaz and Miguel Rojas over headline-chasing splurges, and explore whether signing free agent slugger Kyle Tucker or trading for Brewers’ ace Freddy Peralta is the missing link for sustained success.
The conversation highlights the Dodgers’ enviable roster depth, from Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman to a loaded rotation, while debating the value of quality over quantity. Key topics include LA’s strategic approach to filling rotation needs, the risk-reward of deadline deals, and the tension with rivals like the Houston Astros—especially as Japanese star Tatsuya Imai becomes the latest villain for Los Angeles. Will Andrew Friedman make the decisive move that sets the Dodgers apart in 2026?

I hate this dodgers talk… we don't need to do anything blood…
3peat Inevitable…
Go Dodgers
The Dodgers don’t need more starting pitching depth. They already win 95–100 games every year.
They lose in October because elite pitching shuts their lineup down.
Kyle Tucker + Bo Bichette fix that immediately.
Tucker = left-handed power, OBP, speed, real RF defense.
Bichette = right-handed contact bat that doesn’t disappear vs high-velocity arms.
Together they kill platoons, punish bullpens, and make every inning stressful.
Freddy Peralta doesn’t move the needle in October.
Mid-rotation arm, HR-prone, innings don’t matter when rotations shrink.
And if the Dodgers actually need a dominant arm for a three-peat?
They can trade for Tarik Skubal before the deadline.
October titles are won by pressure bats — not another No.3 starter.
I believe a better free agent would b Bo Bichette. We need better play at second base. The Dodgers averaged .240 last year at this position. That's not good enough. Yes we need a right fielder, and Kyle Tucker would be awesome. He would be a huge up grade, but Bo would be a better up grade because he could also be an option at third when Muncy moves or retires. Wait and see if Tucker lowers his price and then pounce on him. The ultimate coup…..Diaz, Bichette, and Tucker!
Acquiring an outfielder makes more sense than acquiring an infielder. Is putting Edman in the outfield a better move than signing Tucker and keeping Edman at second base?
I’d rather have Bo!
Thank Gents. Eh… I don’t pay too much attention to some Number 4 Pitcher talking 💩. 😅
Give up a young pitcher with great potential under team control for a rental who would man your 4th or 5th spot in the rotation? You guys made a lot of good points only to reach the wrong conclusion. The only thing that saved you was not naming the pitcher to be traded, but implying the names, which displayed both of your lack of big-picture thinking. That type of dysfunctional thinking led to trading away Pedro Martinez for Delino DeShields in order to fill an arguably bigger need at 2B back in the day. If it's Skubal or Skenes, it would be another thing, but you talking heads are advocating for overpaying in order to rent Peralta.
What about Alex Bergman at second base??
Kyle Tucker is pretty mediocre . Nothing for the Dodgers to get excited about. Hopefully the Dodgers sign Bichette
Regarding the Dodgers being the Avengers and Freddie being Captain America — Harry, the Canadian 🇨🇦 member of the Avengers is Wolverine ! 😀
