Host Aaron Freeman explores Harbaugh’s proven track record, the Falcons’ pitch for organizational stability, and the fierce competition for his services. Will Atlanta’s head coaching vacancy become the league’s most coveted job, or does an uncertain quarterback situation drag them down the ranks?

Key discussions include Kirk Cousins’ strategic contract restructure, the financial implications for the Falcons, and the likelihood of a cut versus commitment scenario. Plus, Aaron Freeman breaks down Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham’s candidacy and why his data-driven background could be the perfect counterpoint to Terry Fontenot’s approach. Don’t miss critical analysis of Atlanta’s front office future and what these blockbuster moves mean for the Falcons’ rebuild.

  1. We should be looking at the following

Ravens OC – Todd Monken 59
Bills OC – Joe Brady, 36
Seahawks OC – Klint Kubiak, 38
Rams OC – Mike LaFleur, 38
    Rams pass game coordinator –
    Nate Scheelhaase, 35
Rams DC – Chris Shula, 39

We also need to find a way to get a QB

  2. Mr. Drew/Serious Black Thank you for thoroughly explaining the Kirk Cousins restructure. I've heard so many people say that the restructure means the Falcons are more likely to keep Cousins. Based on the details it seems less likely to me that they would keep them. The details are important and thank you for pointing them out and more importantly breaking them down so we can not only understand that Cousins is likely gone but also understand why. I have seen very little content that has even bothered to go that deep into the situation but a ton of content on why the restructure means the Falcons are planning to keep him… Which they clearly aren't.

  3. They should give him a blank check and a blank piece of paper to write all the things he wants and you give him all of it. He'd be the best HC we've had since Mike Smith.

  4. Real Talk… Here we go again, we are about to pick a coach before we get a GM. On the other hand, the Ravens connection sounds like a winner with Cunningham as the GM and Harbaugh as the coach.

  5. I love the line "release the hostage". Where can you get a Hall of Fame quality quarterback for 35 million per season? Kirk has played well enough to have the Falcons at 13-3 when the Falcons said you are the starter and he has been semi-healthy. 13-3 is nothing to sneeze at. Last year, before he was injured, Kirk had risen to 7th best odds to win the MVP and the team should have been 8-2. Koo missed 3 kicks against the Saints and the refs robbed us against the Chiefs. This year, after Kirk became the full time starter, the Falcons are 4-2 and if the receivers don't drop 3 straight first down throws against the Jets, they are 5-1. I think we can live with that. And that was with possibly the worst offensive coordinator in the league.

  6. Does Kirk really give you the best chance to win? If you can keep him protected then fine but that’s not something that’s guaranteed. Any ounce of pressure on Kirk and the play is dead. Plus he limits your playbook.

  7. Falcons better not miss this second Harbaugh opportunity as they did the first. Falcons interviewed Jim Harbaugh twice before they hired Raheem. But apparently Falcons did not want to pay the price to sway him away from his preferred Chargers job. They better not make that same mistake with John. The name Harbaugh is associated with football coaching excellence. It's a virtual no-brainer!

  8. I like the whiteboard list. But, a run-stuffing NT might be more important than anything other than the QB position. Stopping the run improves 3rd-down defense, increases sacks, helps the DBs…hell, it even helps the offense.

  9. No Coach can change the falcons losing franchise! For over 6 decades mostly Losers! A reflection of poor ownership first the drunk Rankin Smith and now Mr. Dementia Arthur Blank!
Falcons need a football winner for an owner ! Tom Brady would be my choice

  10. League-wide, the draft is a crapshoot? Agreed. But, aren't there some teams/GMs who consistently outperform the norm? Just like there must be a hose who consistently underperform…

  11. He got fired from Baltimore for having the same issues over and over and would not fix them. My brother is a ravens fan so I've watched every game he has coached. Not a huge fan of his. He is ok but honestly more of Raheem Morris type coach. He has wasted Lamars prime years. Plays safe on defense and let's teams drive down the field at the end of games by playing safe. I would rather have the DC from Minnesota or Kubiak imo.

  12. he's an outstanding professional coach. Level headed, even temperament and respected. Knows how to manage a game, motivate the team , iv always respected him. Oh brind Todd with him
