Peacock adding enhancements that may allow fans to mute announcers, control crowd noise

Can [MLB.tv](http://MLB.tv) please bring back the park noise audio option?
Oh my gosh, that is so cool. Imagine watching a playoff game and a big moment arises, and you can choose to shut up the announcers and here the crowd at the volume that you want to hear them at. That sounds like heaven on Earth, truly.
I’ve always thought with streaming this should be a thing. Just letting you pick an audio track essentially and I’m on board for it. I watch a lot of sports on mute currently just because with the commentators and a toddler it’s a lot of talking. Having just sounds of the game would be amazing
I have always wanted this and never understood why it wasn’t already possible
This would be good for Sutter health park. Mute Jenny and turn up the Fuck John Fisher chants.
I wonder if we’ll ever get something a VR seat behind homeplate or around the ball park. Would be kind of cool to experience that with just the park noise.
In so far as streaming apps go Apple TV games are the best because I can switch to the local radio broadcast, much more enjoyable experience
I’ve seen Apple do it for a half inning a few times. it’s as amazing as you can imagine.
I hope that it’s announcer by announcer based, so I can Mike Tirico sound like he’s having a mental breakdown talking to himself in the booth.
Just give me an option to listen to Hammy instead of the tv broadcasters.
WatchDingo airs NPB Pacific League games every morning, there are feeds of PL games without Japanese commentary, just the crowd (there is also an individual feed that has English only). I think the crowd only feeds are pretty cool, and they also show you the segments inbetween innings like the Chiba Lotte Marines Dashman or the Fox dance for Fighters.
Would love to see that option here.
Okay but I don’t want Peacock.
“Smithers, are they booing me?”
“One moment sir, I’ll mute the announcers and raise the crowd noise”
“My my, Peacock.. you’ve..enhanced yourself.”
I would never listen to John Smoltz’s bitching again
Give me the ability to turn off the strike zone overlay and I’ll never say another mean thing about Peacock again
>Peacock adding enhancements

God I would love this. If you understand the game you’re watching, sometimes broadcasters just suck the life out of it.
Great job putting a picture of a woman in the header. That won’t rile anyone up
Can they jump on the Apple TV bandwagon and add the local Radio?
I would prefer an option where I can switch out the announcers entirely
Phillies fans iykyk
“Are you sure you want to unmute Joe Buck? Press Yes and blink twice to confirm.”
Let everyone mute the announcers doing the ad reads? Yea I don’t think this will see the light of day, but we can hope.
Speaking of crowd noise. Has anyone else noticed the ESPN/ABC issue with crowd noise lately? Seems pretty muted. Not every game either. Mostly noticed it during their NFL broadcasts. Even the wife noticed it.
it’s 2026, there needs to be an option to turn off the strike zone box too
Now just let me choose the radio announcers synced up and we will be golden.
