Man it’s weird seeing empty schedules in January, makes the offseason feel even longer than usual
DAY 417 (1020/520) on THE ROAD TO THE 2026 6TH WBSC-MLB WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC – Onwards as One to the Formal Opening of the North American Baseball Year
Come January 20, the reporting day of the California Winter League and January 22, with the opening day of both the CWL and the NAIA collegiate season in the United States and Canada, the doors will formally swing open to 11 months of long baseball action in North America.
These coming dates are days of rejoicing as the sport in the USA and Canada welcomes back the fans who are eager to see the sport’s young talent be the curtain raisers to a year of events and league seasons across all levels of play in these two nations, inclusive of the World Baseball Classic, the upcoming MLB season, the official debut of the WPBL, and the collegiate season.
In just 11 days from now, baseball fans in North America will be welcomed to yet another brand new year of baseball memories from all levels of the sport across this vast land, to new and returning faces and new moments that will define this brand new chapter of what will be a 180 year story from humble early decades to the international sucess story of today.
Expect that the 20th to 22nd of January will be the days that will usher in a long 11 months of baseball action that will be unforgettable and memorable across all levels in this great continent.
