Something tells me Tre acquired a player like Laughton specifically to counter the nastiness of teams like the Panthers.

Every win against a team in the EC matters a lot right now. Great effort by the team, especially against what felt like an ***actively hostile*** officiating crew tonight. I don’t like being all “wah, the refs,” but tonight they felt like they genuinely hated the Leafs, especially Laughton.
Built like a Maytag refrigerator is actually a hilarious way to describe someone
3-0 in games attended this season. You can’t blame me.
We need Mats Sundin to come to more games
The interesting thing to me. We’re playing better than ever while we have key injuries. We keep this up, we’re in the playoff spot, so do we buy at the deadline? It seems like we already have too many players for the roles available on the team. And it’s the injuries that have actually allowed players like Stecher, Robertson, McMann, Macelli, to get enough runway to carve roles on the team and that’s when we’ve started to play well.
It was bad when the year started. But keep in mind Joshua had a bad preseason and Laughton was injured so even if on paper, we had the big size and sandpaper then, did we actually have it? Meanwhile, now we have some gritty guys back and we have some skilled guys mixed in with the lineup and I feel like we have finally a good mix.
Unless some obvious chemistry starts making it so obvious that certain players need to stay in their roles, I feel like our “trade deadline move” is simply sticking with this group and having extra skaters like we have now.
Call it an overreaction but Laughts was worth every penny argue with a wall about it
