I did my first Spring training week last year. It was awesome. Went to 2 games at Hammond Stadium and one at the Red Sox’s Green wall field was a blast. Traffic well have fun with that. Lol
This proves metrics alone can't build teams and this team isn't very good beyond starting pitching (if they stay healthy)
Walker Jenkins will make the opening day roster and start. Even though he's best in CF/RF. If his bat is ready, they will find a spot for him. Stick him in LF. Let him mash.
Been a Twins fann for 60 years. Yes, 60 years. I can never remember a time when I've been less enthused about the Twins than I am this year. Most fans I talk to don't seem to care anymore.
You guys and your lineups. Wallner could hit 30 HRs and get less than 60 RBI somehow. Drives me insane. With nobody on he might hit a bomb. Otherwise dude is terrible at driving runs in and that Happy Gilmore swing will always drive me insane. Dudes path to the ball is terrible. Big old jacked up guy with all the physical tools but his swing is absolute trash gonna be the downfall of his career.
Twins went from Keplar to Larnach… ugh… repeat…
Phil “80th percentile” Mackey
SWR is absolutely the #5 SP to start the season. Zebby is a way better option in the bullpen.
Tom on the Twins show showed crazy numbers for Brooks Lee. The 1st time he faces a pitcher his ops is in the Mudcat Grant(a pitcher for the Twins in the 60s) like .432 or 462 or something. The 2nd and 3rd times he faces that same pitcher he turns into Harmon Killebrew with like a .903 OPS or something like that. He did a whole video on it like a month or more ago its still up Im sure. AFTER the 1st appearance he figures something out about the pitcher. Would be great if they could help him figure it out during his 1st at bat which would bring his numbers WAY up. He's less than HALF the hitter the 1st time through as he is the rest of the game. Thought they were insane numbers that should be looked into and maybe talk to him about his approach and what he sees that changes it.
I think it's crazy to think that Cullpepper and Jenkins are guaranteed major league stars. So far they are just 2 in a long list of can't miss prospects the Twins have been hyping for years.
News is Ozzie Guillen is working in the minors for the Twins, now that’s should be positive. Feisty, piranha ball with discipline and fun will come about in a couple years with Ozzie.
There is nothing to wait for. Put 'em all in and let 'em play. 1. Buxton CF, 2. Keaschall LF, 3. Lewis 3B, 4. Wallner 1B, 5. Bell DH, 6. Jeffers C, 7. Lee 2B, 8. Jenkins RF, 9. Cullpepper SS. Either they can or they can't and the Twins have nothing to lose so lets find out which it is this season. Clemens, Jackson, Martin, and Larnach on the bench.
I want to like Austin Martin but he seems like he is always making baserunning mistakes being too aggressive. I get you can't hesitate but for being a good runner he seems to always be involved. Hoping he can learn from his mistakes while still being an aggressive baserunner. I appreciate the effort but lets see more success.
Just win 🤷♂️
And he's got Larnach at DH…. If they can't find a better bat than him at DH the Twins season is over before it starts. Almost comical at this point.
This is a trash 26 man our only hope is our farm system
Im putting the Twins wins at 75-87 without seeing anything yet.
Jenkins figure in any plans for 2026 knowing that 2027 could be in jeopardy
I've been a fan since 1961. We'd like to feel that there's hope, but I'm not enthused at this point.
Go Twins (woo) 😐
