  3. Frankly, I think McDaniel might be thinking it would be better to be an OC for a couple years before jumping back into the HC role. He is more than young enough to consider a 2-3yr pause in his HC career, and being choosey about which org. Cleveland? He'll be out of that role by 2 yrs – no real QB in house and not in position for top prospects this year. Please don't say SS is the guy and he would be a helluva project for MM.

  7. OC don’t matter if the QB can’t stay healthy. After watching this season, I’m very worried about Daniels’ ability to stay on the field. All those comments about him being too small and frail for the NFL, yeah it definitely showed in year two.

    But if he can stay healthy, yeah Mike McDaniel makes a lot of sense at OC.

  16. What logic does that make? Look at his last two seasons. "Oh, but he was dealing with injuries. He has potential." So by that logic, he would have performed at the same level or worse if he was coaching or coordinating the commanders this year. A good coach or coordinator can still pull wins even with an injured team.
