  1. The biggest and kinda the only reason they will flame out is they came in on a 9 win streak. Thats insane. Thats not gonna be possible to sustain. Or so hard I don’t see it and comfortable betting against it. Same with jags.

  2. I think the Texans are really being held up by their amazing defense. I think if an offense plays, not even a good game, but just a clean game with no turnovers, they have a very good chance to beat this Texans team. I do not trust the offense to be able to win without beneficial turnovers against the good teams in the playoffs. I think they max out in another Divisional Round loss.

  3. Honestly, it's not only Nick. Too many "analysts" keep brushing off the Texans. I will say we do need to at minimum finally reach the AFC Championship. For me, I'll be happy if this part at the very least.

  4. Something they don’t take into account is that in both the playoff seasons Cj only had Nico Collins to throw to. 2023 tank got hurt and Noah brown was injured. In 2024 tank and diggs were hurt. The production from anyone not named Collins is nothing compared to this year with Hutchinson Higgins and Noel having a bigger impact and healthy

  5. CJ‘s always been a big gamer just like in the college playoffs when he went against the juggernaut at the time Georgia Bulldogs, who had possibly the greatest defense in college football history at the time and he played the game of his life and that game is most likely the reason the Houston Texans drafted with the number two overall he’s had a definitely a solid career Now he just has to take it up a notch or two and he should be ready to go

  6. And also I don’t think Cj wants to run the ball in the regular season. Since he came back from his concussion he hasn’t ran as much but I’m sure he’s saving himself for the playoffs because if you look at last season he really utilized his legs when it’s win or go home

  7. Nick is constantly wrong. He’s had the benefit of being able to say KC and Mahomes are good as his main take for a while. However, CJ isn’t great. We like to act like he is because of a great rookie season but he is mediocre at best. He constantly overthrows receivers, can really improvise, is mediocre at game management. If he didn’t have the rookie year he had we would be comparing him to Bryce more. The D has won these games not the offense.

  8. Here is what Nick doesn’t see with his KC blinders on. 0-3, 3-5, 12-5. 9 game winning streak. #1 Defense in the NFL. Here is the difference. Houston has the #1 defense that has run only base 4-3 and nickel, with exception of certain goalline and used dime once. How? The Texans 11 on defense are dominating! The simplicity allows them to play fast and SWARM. No fancy or complexities, just line up and win the rep. CJ Stroud, while his primary stats are down passing yards and tds, when you dive deep his QBR, turnover worthy plays are down, and highest completion percentage of his 3 year career. He is becoming an effective game manager, while still capable of making the explosives. The thing lacking is consistency. In this game, field position matters, turnovers matter, and efficient play leads to who will find a way against the defensive matchup.

  9. Yeah CJ seems to be his best in big games but he's been pretty clutch as well. It also seems to be his biggest flaw as well. If you go back and look at at least 3 of his losses this year. Last drives of those games and Stroud was unstoppable and marched the team down the field making incredible throw after incredible throw. Then Collins/Ogunbowale, etc fumbles.

Point being, just because Stroud is absolutely clutch when it matters the most doesn't mean everyone else on the team is clutch as well. If Stroud would play up to what he is capable of, being clutch wouldn't be necessary. CJ seems to play down to his competition sometimes.

  10. If Trent Brown and Ed Ingram can pick up where they left off before missing some time the last couple games this Texans team can legitimately be a super contender.. I trust CJ 100% but he needs to be untouched those 1st couple plays so he has somewhat trust in his O-line during the game. He starts to get little jumpy when he decides the Oline isn’t gonna help and starts to take off earlier than he should and sometimes makes plays harder than they need to be.. so it’s very important the Oline gains his trust early on.

  11. I like how a lot of commentators were saying “no one wants to see the Houston Texans in the playoffs” and now there saying the Steelers are going to pull the upset
