Varsho avoids arbitration, $10.75 million

  1. Holy cow! Lots of big spending today. Hopefully it caps off with a big announcement for Bo or Tuck or both!

  2. I’m loving this no arb stuff. Pay the boys, grab Tucker or Bo and this team is going to be on fire with confidence

  3. 0-9 with 3 strikeouts in game 6 and 7. The Jays should have walked and gave that money to Tucker.

  4. Was projected for $9.7M. Between Varsho, Clement, and Heineman everyone has gotten like $200-$1M over their projected salary.

Which is nice – kind of hard to spend over $300 million in free agency (so far) and then claim you can’t give a guy an extra $300K, haha

  5. Nice! happy they aren’t extending him. Singing an injury prone, glove first CF into his 30s is 95% of the time a massive mistake.

  6. One key question is this: what is Varsho’s future in Toronto? He’s a Boras client and will certainly test free agency. Does Toronto let him walk or trade him, assuming that re-signing him is a non-starter?

  7. Should trade him along with Santandar, Berrios but we won’t. Just want Lukes in the lineup.

  8. We shit on Varsho a lot, but how many platinium glove worthy CF with an OPS of 833 their is in the league right now ??

  9. Var-Show!!!

He’s no Devon White (now Whyte), but love seeing #25 roaming CF in a Blue Jays uniform.

  10. Thy kingdom come, thy pay raise won, in avoiding arbitration as it will in free agency 🙏🙏🙏
