[Romero] Several scouts consider Diego Serna the best left-handed pitcher in the 2025–26 class. He brings a fastball at 89–91 mph, along with a 78–80 mph curveball and an 82–83 mph changeup. The Padres are the favorites to sign him for around $1 million starting on January 15.

Ranked No. 24 on Beisbol FR, Serna is not ranked on the current MLB page and is No. 46 on BA. The LHP out of Mexico is 16 years old, 6-3, 209 pounds and is thought to be by some scouts the best LHP on the board. He has a starter pitch mix with a slider and changeup as plus-pitches to complement his fastball. He is considered one of the more polished pitchers in the class.
16 yr. Old, 6’ 3” 200lbs with effortless delivery and plenty of upside… 💪
Fuck them prospects!
When I read the title of this post, I was unsure what made that impressive… and then I watched the video and found out he was 16. Hooooly
The field is in TJ but anyone know where in Mex he is from?
Well he got Diego in his name, that’s a good sign for sure
…can he be ready by April? lol
This is the way. Get as many pitchers into the system as possible. They are the biggest trade chips in the league currently.
Cant wait for random 32 yr old reliever we will for him
The way he’s set up, it looks like his delivery can offer more rotational explosion ala Chapman. You can see it with the knee behind the torso, the rest of it is too late/slow to utilize it.
The high kick almost reminds me of Gore a bit.
