  1. McMann on the fourth line seems criminal but i think it does make the most sense with this lineup

  2. All comments/tweets per David Alter:

Joseph Woll is doing work on the home end and is the projected starter against the Canucks tonight.

Craig Berube says Chris Tanev remains out indefinitely. When asked about the possible surgery decision on the table, if a decision has been made.

“Not yet. I’m sure that’ll be soon here about what he’s going to do.”

  3. Nylander is back

    Second line is back

EDIT: Stolie to join the team soon?!? Oh my god let’s go!! (Although I’ll miss the beast, he’s been so so good)

  5. McMann-Matthews-Domi: 51 cf%, 60.8 xGF%

    Knies-Matthews-Domi: 43 cf%, 44 xGF%

Anyone who likes this change is nuts frankly. McMann’s speed completely changes things for the better

  6. This is underwhelming. McMann and AM had some chemistry developing. Domi on the top line will never be a viable long-term solution. I would’ve wanted to see McMann-Matthews-Willy, and Domi gets bumped down.

  7. I dont dislike these lines specifically, but I really dont understand why berube allows one player coming in or out of the lineup to shift 3/4 lines when the team is 6-0-2

  8. Things seem to be falling into place. Seeing mermis on the extra is nice to see. Our fourth line and 3rd line seem to be rocking. Willy being back is nice. Kinda wild seeing stetcher with Benoit. Our D core and tandem is just so strong right now. Carlo being back is great. McCabe on a heater, OEL on a heater.

  9. I don’t like McMann on the Laught line. McMann performs better with faster guys. I think the Laught line plays a very rough and tough game and I’m not sure he’ll fit in 100%. Problem is that Cowan line is too good to split up right now.

  10. I think this is really just a decision of Maccelli vs McMann.

Bérubé clearly prefers Maccelli and he knows better than any of us.

All in all, totally good with this.

  11. Ill be honest. I do not hate this at all. It looks balanced.

With that being said, hard to justify such a juggle with the roll they are on.

Hopefully they can keep it going , maybe even look better and more complete.

  12. I really want to see a Knies-Tavares-Nylander 2nd line. Let Matthews carry 2 of Domi/McMann/Macelli and drive his own line like he is paid to. He actually seems to do well without a “star” winger like Knies/Nylander

  13. I’m not against seeing Tavares slip down this lineup. Imagine his presence in a bottom 6 role and giving guys like Laughton a chance to thrive with the big boys.

  14. Should keep McMann on line 1 and move Knies down to line 3. I know that third line has been clicking but several different combos have been clicking for the past while. The common factor is Roy.

  15. I wonder if knies Laughton Lorentz could do something together. Laughton Lorentz seem to be able to get o zone time. They need someone who can score.

There would just be trouble to get everyone ice time.

  16. McMann is NOT the guy I’d bump off the top line. If anything it’s looked to me like him and Matthews have the chemistry and Domi is just kinda there.

  17. I don’t like Knies with Matthews. I would have kept Bobby up on the top line and knies with Tavares. It might be time to start letting Laughton take the odd extra shift though and sitting Tavares a bit to manage his minutes. We are going to play a lot and I think he’s already playing a bit too much. His game has really suffered.
