  1. You sound like a player explaining why you left in free agency ๐Ÿ˜…. Iโ€™m glad to find your new show. After the Trae Young trade the Warriors need to give up on getting an unprotected first for Kuminga.

  2. If Sacramento doesnโ€™t โ€œneedโ€ JK then why do you keep thirsting for him? Bottom line is Kings have nothing dubs โ€œwantโ€ or โ€œneedโ€ so stop selling us Monk ๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. Matt, I was disappointed when I heard Allen was moving from the morning slot, but the news of your addition more than made up for it. Congrats, your voice is important to this community!

  4. No wonder the Kings have been so bad for so long. They cannot even get talk show host the is not delusional. Kings use garbage to get good players like Kuminga or Morant? Only in your dreams

  5. While I'm thrilled that you're happy with this movie, Matt, as an NBA basketball purist, was really hoping you'd be moving on to cover a more relevant franchise than the Kings. A franchise that will likely continue its irrelevancy as long as Vivek owns the team. That's why I don't get all the GS slander re: this silly Kuminga saga. It comes off as bitter envy in a way because for all the wrong that's happened in GS, they've done a million other things, correct and they're ALL the things the Kings have been terrible at.

Drafting well — check. Player development — check. Deep-pocketed owner — check.

As for the Sacramento fan base, are they're not as "self-aware" as you make them out to be. If they were, they'd be self-aware enough to know they can root for another team — at least until Vivek is gone. That's not just self-awareness, that's common sense. You buy a car, say a Ford, and it's a lemon, you're not going to buy another Ford just 'cause. You'll buy another model, a Toyota or a Chevy. It's the same thing with sports teams. And your typical Kings fan is someone who continually buys lemon Fords and acts surprised when they don't work well. Where's the loyalty end and the stupidity begin? After all, plenty of 49er and Raiders fans in Sactown who have no problem rooting for those teams, even though they're not homegrown.

Fandom is a choice — it's not a death sentence. Imagine living in Detroit and feeling like you can only buy GM because of the factory… insane.

But back to this Kuminga thing… only time will tell if the Warriors handled this better than the Kings. If Kuminga were such an "asset" why don't any other teams see the potential and want him? Maybe it's because the very fact Kuminga cannot thrive in a WINNING system like Golden State is a massive RED FLAG to other franchises that the guy just isn't very good. That Kuminga might be a selfish, low IQ player with a limited upside.

Yet predictably the Kings of all teams want him thinking that what… they can turn him into Deni Avidja or something?

You know another player the Kings wanted that nobody else did and went out and traded for him? Zach LaVine. How's that working out? DeRozan, when he was a late FA signing, had, at best, 2 suitors (one the Kings) and the other team (reportedly the Clippers) wanted him, reportedly, under 10 million or a vet minimum. And the Kings traded a rotation player and future first, a pick swap to get him!

Now the Kings have TWO players nobody really wants and their loss point-differential at 11.2 is currently on track to be top-5 worst of ALL-TIME.

And you think nepo hire Scott Perry is going to get them out of this? Based on what evidence? How's that Schroeder signing going? Wasn't Perry's idea to rehabilitate Schroeder's value (at the very least) to trade him for draft capital? How's that plan working out?

Nope, the Kings will Kang as long as Vivek is around.

So Matt, you need to lay off the Dubs hate there a bit, buddy. The Kings are a clownshow and as they say in the Old Book, one shouldn't be throwing stones in glass houses.

Otherwise, keep up the good work, even if this team doesn't deserve it. Or you.

Certainly will make for some good opportunities for ribaldry in the future — for me at least.
