Genuinely a steal at 8 mil AAV, I can not believe they got that. I know they sacrificed on term, but 6 years still gives us a few seasons UFA.
Personally Iād up the AAV to get max length just because of the direction player contracts are going but I assume the agent has the opposite idea. Darren Farris loves getting his guys to UFA so I see this as a win.
I want to know what trade protection heās got during the last two years, but if all goes well it shouldnāt matter.

Iād often discuss with friends (and [sometimes comment on Reddit!)](https://www.reddit.com/r/stlouisblues/s/0sdZyGj6ef) that after the wave of other young, LD extensions, that his cap ceiling was basically $9mm so Iād live with it and anything under that, but itād be amazing to keep our internal player cap (8.125) intact. But I didnāt expect that to actually happen!
(I know, itās 6 years and not 8, but still. Iām stoked!)
