This kid deserves his own special chant. What do you think?
Picture it: you’re at the game and Simon Holmstrom scores a goal—the crowd goes nuts. It’s wild and hectic and LOUD.
but then…
you start to hear everyone saying “hmmm” .
Slowly, everyone is saying “hmmm”
Except they’re not saying “hmmm”—they’re saying “Holmmmm…”
And as UBS arena settles down, everyone together does a full:
“Holmmmmmmmmstrom!”
Then everyone can chant “Holmstrom, Holmstrom, Holmstrom”
I know these are supposed to happen organically, but how else could you get a crowd of people to “hmmm” at each other without getting punched in the face?

Holmstrom is like the Isles version of Nimmo. 1st rounder, got written off by a bunch of fans after like a year. Developed well over time and finally got a shot. Proved they’re just solid ass players and an important part of the core.
How can you not love this dude? I’m happy with him on the ice in any situation. Offensive, defensive, PP, PK, OT, playing with a lead, playing from behind. Just a solid all around hockey player.
