Basketball is a beautiful game and OKC is the best team in the NBA. They are young, confident, talented, and OVERDELIVERED already with 1 championship and while I’m a firm believer in the repeat what really gives me comfort is knowing we will be competitive for years to come thanks to our incredible FO. The Spurs didn’t win all of theirs back to back, so there is a blueprint there too. But the sheer possibility of this (likely) happening again is why r/nba relish every shitty L and embellish our lowlights to dunk on us (no pun intended). The fact that we have over achieved and will likely continue to perform high for a decade plus makes them burn when they really think about it. So ignore what they say and don’t
base your behavior on their feelings.
I’m not saying moves shouldnt be made if NECESSARY, but I just dont vibe with the way some of yall turn on these guys over every little poor performance. 3 point shooting will make or break games in the modern league, and we obviously have a gaping void there to discuss. Burnout is real too – the expectation to keep winning endlessly after getting a chip was never truly realistic despite being a good goal at the time in practice.
Losing games is fine but losing your spirits is not. And we believe in the gang till they give us a reason not too. Because you could argue everybody on our roster last year had at least one consequential moment for our chip.
Use this thread as your soapbox against the doomers.
