Sid and Geno are really having themselves a great season, its awesome.
Hopefully we get them some more support. We need to target Dallas.
I say we sell the future and go all-in for this year and next. All we really need is a true top-4 RD and a top-4 LD to be dangerous in the playoffs—the forward group really gelled this year. We absolutely have the picks and cap space to make it happen.
Give Crosby and Malkin another 2 cracks at the Cup. We’re not going to be in a true rebuild until both of them are gone anyway.
On a 100 point pace and they lost 9 out 10 at one point. The Pens have only 12 games in which they failed to earn a point so far.
They could be even better in the 2nd half.
Just amazing.
Dubas owes it to Malkin to put some chips on the table this year but I don’t know where this team can reasonably add, they need a solid support dman and maybe depth at forward.
Despite this latest winning streak, I still don’t believe we are bound for the playoffs. Losing nine out of ten was just too much for me. I could see us bound for another stretch or two like that.
We might never lose again
What is better … Winning a playoff series or getting the best pick in the draft in every round? Win big in a few years or win small now?
I’ll say this much…as far as playoff matchups go, I genuinely think(right now at least) the only team guaranteed to beat us in seven are the Aves. I’ve been watching hockey long enough to know that Colorado probably gets upset before they make the Finals, too…
I’m not saying that’s what’s gonna happen. Just that it’s not out of the realm of possibilities.. besides, how big of a meltdown would half of Alberta(maybe Canada lol) have if Stu won a Cup with us and Sid before McDavid?…lmao
