At this point, I hate the Hurricanes and Lightning far more than these 2 teams.
This may be blasphemy, but I don’t see the Devils as a rival the same way as the Rangers. I feel my relationship with the Devils is like a sibling rivalry with a common enemy.
Devils fans seem reasonable. It’s the Ranger fans that call us a poverty franchise and then proceed to play like shit
Just wait. All of a sudden every New Yorker is going to be an Islanders fan. Just like the bills. 10 years ago New Yorkers were Giant and Jet fans. But because the bills have been killing it. All you see are Buffalo fans now.

I wouldn’t say I prayed for the Devils downfall… it’s good for the Isles and everything with them being a divisional team, don’t get me wrong. But due to our common enemy I view them as a more of a friend, as much as a divisional foe can be.
Take the devils out of this, and you’ll have my upvote.

Funny how the devils and rangers rebuilt the “right way” since 2019 getting multiple lottery picks and they’re STILL below the islanders who were expected to be terrible this year
