Exciting times. Not to discount how good the guys ranked above/alongside them are but the fact that Ewing, Voit, Peña, Santucci, and Watson are ranked where they are says a lot about the depth and talent in the system.

RJ Gordon is a VERY interesting one to watch. Little older at 24 but I could definitely see him being a later-season addition to the pen

– Jett is an interesting case. Plays 2B, SS and CF but hasn’t been mentioned as an outfield candidate, and Stearns quickly blocked him at second by getting Semien. He has hung around the top of these rankings but hasn’t cracked through. Acuna got the call instead. What’s up with Jett? Trade bait?
– Last I heard of Matt Alan before last season he was recovering from surgery and sought to make his MILB comeback in the Mets system. Assuming that didn’t go well?
– Big oof on Jeremy Rodriguez.
– Elian already being 12 is eye catching

Can someone who understands this better explain why Yovanny Rodriguez fell off the list? I know that you can’t put too much stock in rookie ball numbers, but still, a .331/.446/.493 slash line from a catcher seems really good. Is there a major problem with his defense?

Hopefully some of these guys are good, because it looks like that is all we’re getting for a while.
Nice list, but the stark reality is that most of these players will not amount to much in the majors. That’s just how things go with prospects.
