Baseball America top 30 Mets prospects

  1. Do you know how many are in their top 100? I’m sure top 4 are, possibly Sproat and Ewing, too

  2. Exciting times. Not to discount how good the guys ranked above/alongside them are but the fact that Ewing, Voit, Peña, Santucci, and Watson are ranked where they are says a lot about the depth and talent in the system.

  3. RJ Gordon is a VERY interesting one to watch. Little older at 24 but I could definitely see him being a later-season addition to the pen

  4. I can’t remember the last time the Mets had a first round pick, but that first round pick wasn’t among the team’s top 10 prospects right after.

  5. Holy shit our pitching factory is cooking!!! Keep an eye on Wenninger and Will Watson, they look solid

  6. This list is meaningless because my Road to the Show character that hit .700 across AA and AAA is not on it.

  7. – Jett is an interesting case. Plays 2B, SS and CF but hasn’t been mentioned as an outfield candidate, and Stearns quickly blocked him at second by getting Semien. He has hung around the top of these rankings but hasn’t cracked through. Acuna got the call instead. What’s up with Jett? Trade bait?

    – Last I heard of Matt Alan before last season he was recovering from surgery and sought to make his MILB comeback in the Mets system. Assuming that didn’t go well?

    – Big oof on Jeremy Rodriguez.

    – Elian already being 12 is eye catching

  8. This is why I’m optimistic. We just need to see the 2026 Mets get going. One juicy signing would be nice, but get the kids rolling

  9. Top 10 Mets Prospects based purely off the strength of their name:

    1. Boston Baro
    2. Jett Williams
    3. Trey Snyder
    4. Jonah Tong
    5. Jonathan Santucci
    6. Daiverson Gutierrez
    7. Cam Tilly
    8. Jack Wenninger
    9. Franklin Gomez
    10. Will Watson

  10. Can someone who understands this better explain why Yovanny Rodriguez fell off the list? I know that you can’t put too much stock in rookie ball numbers, but still, a .331/.446/.493 slash line from a catcher seems really good. Is there a major problem with his defense?

  11. Of top 100 overall prospects how many will the Mets have? Seems like they have been building the farm system for a few years hopefully they have 7-10 guys on there.

  12. Hopefully some of these guys are good, because it looks like that is all we’re getting for a while.

  13. Nice list, but the stark reality is that most of these players will not amount to much in the majors. That’s just how things go with prospects.

  14. Anyone understand why some names are bolded? Does that mean they are new to the list?
