I suppose this as good as the news was going to be. Just on a personal, non-hockey level, I'm glad he's not suffering any ill after-effects.

  1. Could be worse. Tho it’s possible it is bad. They don’t really talk about these things unless they think he’s going to make his way out of it in 5 days. They usually announce they are in concussion protocol so they can start the timer of the 5 day minimum so everyone is aware what’s going on.

If he was having longer symptoms, I don’t think they would tell everyone it’s a concussion because again, concussions are finicky and you could end up out for a while.

  2. Concussions suck but it could definitely be a lot worse—he may be out a week or more, longer than expected (no need to rush him back), but I was really worried (for his sake) that he’d suffered a longer-term injury that’d affect his Olympics. Glad it seems he’s avoided that outcome at least.

  3. Concussions are never a good thing… let’s hope he recovers without any lingering effects.

  4. I think that’s probably the best case scenario after that hit. Glad he seems to be feeling alright.

Also awesome that **Bjugy looks set to return tomorrow!**
