if I’m DQAP, I’m offering Jay Gruden a Senior Offensive Advisor role. mostly focused on advising Blough with offensive scheme, with a side of personnel input.
The guy is brilliant and knows X’s and O’s about as good as anyone. Blough needs a West Coast expert to get this thing up and running.

Oh, and spider y 2 banana
Love Jay. Got a bad rap. Great offensive and scouting mind. Would be all for it.
I agree his strategy was top notch. I’m under the impression that if he wanted to work he could have found a position.
As much as I thought he was in over his head as a head coach, him as an offensive consultant wouldn’t be the worst idea.
Also, I get the environment that was the f’n dumpster fire here at the time.
Sounds like a really good idea 💡
Jay was the best coach we had during the Snyder era. Only coach to put up back to back winning seasons. Looked solid with Kirk for two years. Think he could do wonders with Jayden.
Not someone I would want as a HC again but in the role you described, sign us up.
I don’t care if it’s Jay Gruden or not, but I would assume they’re going to have people around him who know what they’re doing. Even in today’s NFL, the play caller isn’t doing all the work. I think DQ could call anyone he’s close with who’s a play caller and get suggestions on how to handle this whole situation and what he should align Blough with.
I think if Jay Gruden wanted to coach somewhere he would be coaching
I was literally just saying this today. Surprised we didn’t interview him for the job, but I think he’d be a good source of knowledge ans experience for Blough to lean on as he adjusts to the league.
Anthony Lynn already in the building
McVay has stated publicly how critical Jay Gruden was to his development as a coach. I’d say “yes.”
If we’re going back, let’s get Kyle Allen from the falcons to help AP with drafting
Nah, I’m not doing this revisionist history shit with Snyder era coaches. We all wanted to fire this guy into the sun, and deservedly so. Idk why people here are all the sudden pining for the dark ages of this franchise
Yall really must’ve forgot how much of a mess the team was…..Yall in here pining for Dan Snyder era coaches. I thought yall wanted change?
I’ll always defend Jay as a solid HC. I know the records under him were textbook mediocre, but we always had a good offenses under him and he lasted longer than any other HC under Snyder. He just couldn’t figure out the DC, but he was a good offensive mind. I also like that he clearly still likes the Commanders and is involved in the media even after Snyder clearly did him dirty with the “leak information that paints him in a bad light so the fan base will buy the firing,” move.
I lowkey want him and wouldn’t mind Kirk as a cheap back up or even qb3
i honestly wouldn’t hate this
Is wanting past players/coaches to come back all the time only a commanders fan thing or do other fan bases do the same?
Keep Gruden far far far away from this team.
