Runs a completely different style of defense than Quinn. Hiring him would be a clear sign that DQ’s moving into a CEO type role as a head coach. I’d be for it.

About that scheme: here’s an article from 3 years ago on what Flores looks for in players, what he likes to do and Belichick’s influence.
His defensive coordinator legacy would be secured and enshrined if he can somehow turn this unit around. We might not be able to keep him for more than a year.
