Cubs legend.
Should’ve been a HOF
His 10th year boost has him around 40% right now, up from 34% last year.
Never had much of a chance with the PEDs hanging over him. His only real chance is when the older generation of Vet Committee picks die off and a future generation maybe sees PEDs differently and he gets a shot.
They might stick on the 2028 contemporary ballot though and then not get the votes needed.
Those veterans committee ballots gonna go hard af in 20 years
Oh no, anyway.
thats just BBWAA being BBWAA
We know Manny is a HoFer.
69 BWar, .312 avg, 996 OPS over 19 yrs. Did he get popped for PEDs?
Edit: yes, he has been popped multiple times apparently

Always felt like his case was weaker than the 90s guys. He just kept cheating over and over again
Well Manny is still a Hall of Famer of my heart and no one can take that away from me
Well, if Barry couldn’t make it.
Shoulda been a good boy and stayed on George Mitchell’s good side. He could have gotten the Big Papi exemption for PEDs, but he spit the bit and suddenly couldn’t pass a test to save his life.
Manny Ramirez suffers so David Ortiz can do steroids in the hall.
Booooooooooooooooo
One day people will realize that the players were the victims of the steroid era.
Dumb. Manny’s presence was most important part of ‘03-04 Sox lineup
Aww shucks
Are we really going to act like this is some big tragedy?
The guy got suspended for PEDs *multiple* times. You can argue for some of the other guys like bonds who did it before rules and punishments were in place but Ramirez is pretty clearly in a completely different boat. Manny should never get anywhere near the HOF and I’m shocked he got as many votes as he did
I’ll still have MannyWood even if they were the last of his glory years (+ PED suspension) one of the best trade line acquisitions in recent Dodgers history.
The system works!
The Baseball Hall of Fame remains a complete and total joke of an institution.
Well, I mathematically eliminate the baseball writers from being inducted into the Hall of Manny, so there
I’m never going to feel sorry for ‘roiders who never get into the Hall.
I’m just incapable of that amount of sympathy for them.
Good. I would like the hall to stay as clean as possible. Cheaters have no business.
HOF has lost its way. Not telling the story of the game, just the politics around it
Bud Selig’s in, but not Bonds Jr., A-rod, Clements, and to a lesser degree Sosa, Manny & McGwire. First three are inarguably among the best players all-time, not just for their era.
For those of you who watched baseball in this time, who would you pick first in a choose-em game, Manny or Jeff Kent?
If *Bonds* isn’t getting in, someone like Manny has no chance.
While I believe he belongs he got busted twice. The stupid tax is no HoF for you.
