Low risk for $850,000. Would like to see his game improve a little bit and maybe this will help is confidence.
Makes sense. $850K, and he’s still an RFA I believe
This is perhaps the worst news I have ever received. There is no reason he deserves a 1-way. He hasn’t looked like he deserves a roster spot most games.
Like, it doesn’t matter from a cap perspective, who cares. He’s just bad and this is an indication that I will be forced to continue to watch him accrue minuses on my hockey team.

Cue braindead takes on how this is a disaster.

What the hell sure
We’re a developmental team right now. We keep developmental players. He’s got three years of runway in my book. We won’t be competing for anything before then.
Did DA give him a NMC or a NTC ? Just kidding, kinda
One way is kind of crazy but okay
It was an explicit part of the strategy in dealing for him that he would be a multi-year development project they believe has the raw tools, speed, and body size to become a highly effective 2RHD. How could they do anything else but this? It would be totally irrational especially since he has shown small signs of improvement.
I don’t think these cards mean everything but they do mean something
No 8 x 8? Did Steen negotiate this one?
Anyone notice that he seemed to one of the few current players at the Blues HOF induction cermony? Him Fabric nd Schenner were there for sure.
Isn’t it auto renewed in the summer for three years unless we say no? Why is this news? It’s not like he can say no. Every rookie gets this for 3 years
Ahl north. Let him develop
Whatever. But it’s a pipe dream if anyone ever thinks he’ll become something. He’s complete dog shit. But, whatever. Stop loss fallacy hard at work for the front office brass.
He played well today, he’ll keep improving as he obviously has from the start of the season
