My opinion is it all depends on 1. Were the Hawks are in the standings on March 1st. 2. What are the offers. Murphy nothing less than a 2nd. Grez nothing less than a 3rd. Dickerson nothing less than a 4th. I do not think Foligno will get much or the Hawks will put him up without his approval. Mikahev do not trade him
I really like all our current players. But to make space for the younger guys I make the trades. I would keep Mikahev. But that is all.
If Nick is willing to not go and win a Stanley Cup. You keep him on the team, or if he retires. He can be a great mentor who be part of the coaching staff. Dickinson,Lafferty should be traded at the deadline. Mikahev should stay but has to be room for Frondell.
Mikheyev is too valuable IMO. He needs to stay. Dicky, Fliggy, Lafferty, Slaggert can go. I also think Grzylck has been really, really good for next to no money. Guy rarely makes a mistake.
Do you foresee the Blackhawks taking on Dougie Hamilton's contract along with a high pick from New Jersey say in exchange for Korchinski and some other dude? Since the Hawks will have a lot of cap space.
marchment and "no goal" danault (5pts) recently got 2nd rd picks, i would expect a 2nd rd pick for dickinson (w/ retention). murphy (w/ retention), i would expect at least a 2nd rd pick as well. teams are always looking for big rhd, and getting murphy at a 2.2mil aav (for a playoff run) would be a bargain. imo, there's a good possibility of being able to package something together like murphy and dickinson/mikheyev (w/ retention) for a future 1st rd pick (in the mold of the mccabe lafferty trade w/ the leafs).

Never happen with Im sure trades and inbound FAs, But possible
I never hear anyone talk about the possibility that fronted, Kansterov, or any other first year players are a bust. Or, all these first year players have a sophomore slump. With no vets on the team and something like that happens next season, it would be a disaster. We're talking records worse than the Bedard tank season. I'm hoping all these prospects hit, but it still is a roll of the dice
