  2. The Texans did well, but the Offensive Line need some more work. The center and CJ need to clean up their snaps. The running game is showing signs of improvement lately against a good steelers defense. CJ needs to have selective amnesia, confidence, and consistency. He also needs to have pocket awareness because he sometimes hold on to the ball longer than he should.

  3. I missed the last 2 1/2 min of the Texans steelers game. Not because I wasn't sitting in front of the TV but because of the broadcasters. Get rid of the manning brothers and let the Texan fans enjoy the moment.

  4. I get it CJ did not have his best game. Like the rest of the season we walked away with a win. The offense has been hard to watch all season. So if we win on the back of our defense I can roll with that. The good thing is with the offense being all over all season teams won’t have tape on their offense. What if they make it to the big game and blow the doors off of the other team? They won’t see that coming.

  5. As a fan of the Texans since 2002, your Texans content is great. You have measured takes. You call team out, but you don’t get down on them. You remain optimistic which is what I want in my Texans content. I don’t like fans that just get so down they practically start hating on the team.

  6. Every time Houston wins, the focus is always on the other team. When we beat the Chiefs, the direction was on how battered they were and how they gone 9 years consistently to the conference championships. So media talking about Tomlin's defeat, Rodgers potentially retiring, except for the SWARM defense and the win from the Texans.

  8. I didn't like it when the expansion team picked the name Texans, because it unnecessarily restricted the fan appeal to a regional one. Fans outside of Texas must feel somewhat strange to call themselves Texans fans, like they're betraying their own state.

They are always soo critical of CJ and they never want to give the Texans praise… as a die hard Texans fan I know CJ can and should be better, but despite all of that he still played a decent game! I think he will get better with each playoff game leading to the Super Bowl!! And heck yeah, Christopher Nolan’s movie Inception score by Hans Zimmer would be epic for a Texans Defense!!

  19. Not all those fumbles were on CJ. Some were, and it seemed like he was a bit out of sorts. All fixable. Davis Mills is not a better QB. He is a top tier backup and Texans are lucky to have him. And the national media rarely talks about the Texans, but it's all about the opponents. As we say here in HTown – Houston vs Everyone Else.

  28. CJ Stroud just turned 24 a few months ago. Heck, Carson Beck is in the same HS class as him and Bryce Young and has yet to join the NFL… Stroud will be fine as long as he doesn't let the setbacks affect him and stay consistent

  31. Ever since that dude showed up to The Herd, he has never liked the Texans in any sort of way. Even when CJ and DeMeco had that awesome rookie season in 2023, he still didn't like the Texans. My guess is he's a Divisional Rival fan so he always down plays anything the Texans do.

    Davis Mills kept our season alive, he is the reason we are even in the playoffs!
    He lead us to beat the Jags and the Bills
    He leads the Oline and knows how to read the defense.
    Oline got it together after Mills was taking the snaps.
    CJ is traumatized and scared.
    Whats so crazy about putting in Mills?

  37. Dude is an idiot, Davis Mills? Look I like the guy but he ain't making some of those throws CJ made to Kirk. Everyone has a bad game, just ask Aaron Rodgers, doesn't mean you should bench them for the backup. Stroud will learn from this, just like he did watching Mills when he was injured and be a better player.

  39. You have point… but I think those teams that have been a dynasty throughout NFL history- 6 Superbowls- those organizations have earned respect. Houston on the other hand has struggled in consistency. If Houston’s offense can move the ball they could go to the Superbowl.

  40. Those that talked about going to Mills — take a look at last time he came into game and missed 6 throws. Yes he won 3 games. I agree CJ needs to improve. I totally agree that it irks me so much that the Texans don't get the credit for their success!.. I will comment that I hope that any overthrow is not related to his concussion . I just believe he will get better. He is a good young man who came from challenges in his life.

  42. Texans have to win it all for them to get credit… Even though they make the conference championship that'll be the first they've ever been also further than the cowboys have been since the 90s.
