As much as I didn’t want to see Nolan go (I know St Louis is rebuilding, but I wouldn’t have been against keeping one of Nolan or Contreras to act as a mentor to the young guys), this was necessary. Plus, Jordan Walker can finally move to the position he was drafted as, third base. His defense in the outfield has been terrible, and it’s put pressure on him to produce with his bat, which he has not been doing. Now you can get him at third base, have him regain some confidence by playing his position, and he should play closer to that top level prospect he was ranked as a few years ago
