Decided to start keeping track out of curiosity. This is Lindgren’s third helmet win, which is the most out of the team. Also, it has only been awarded to goalies four times despite the Kraken winning 9 games where the goalie had a save percentage over .950. It has been awarded to either a defenseman or a goalie 13 out of 22 times, which is disproportionately high compared to forwards. Notably, Marchment never received the helmet, and Stephenson, Beniers, and Tolvanen have all not yet been given the helmet despite all being in the top 5 for scoring on the team

  1. I just knew when Joey got the helmet this last time he was absolutely going to find any reason to give it to Gru because Gru was snubbed so many times! Fortunately he made it very easy by being a stud yet again the next game.

  2. New to hockey this season, is getting the helmet their way of saying “player of the game”?
