“One Strike. No Mercy!”

  1. Well clearly “lock-in” makes no sense in conjunction with our mascot. “Rise-up” meaning the flight of the Falcon and rising up as a team to beat the opponent. You didn’t give this much thought did you?

  2. I’m for it. Rise up has always sounded corny to me.
Of all the things falcons are known for

    Speed
    Adaptability
    Toughness
    Focus
    Persistence

    Someone chose “rise up”….

  3. Rise Up is very Atlanta as a nod to the phoenix on the city seal and rising from the (Sherman’s) ashes. It genuinely means something.

ETA – also “Resurgens” is Latin for rising again.

  4. People keep trying to change the slogan. It takes a slogan years to catch on, to cement.

  5. I like rise up but can fully admit that’s because I’ve been saying it since I can remember

  6. Lock in is a generic phrase that has no ties to the city at all. Rise up has actual historical significance to the city rising up from the ashes of Sherman’s March to the sea plus it fits with the bird thing.

  7. I agree. “Rise up” feels more like “Rise down” at this point. Just like “brotherhood”, we gotta move on cause it’s getting tired

  8. Rise Up fits up. We’re not a top tier franchise. We’re in the middle and as the old Madden 25 intro would say we rise up to the challenge.
