Woj on Spo

  1. I saw people comparing Spo to Mike Tomlin. Spo has made the finals twice in the 2020s, Tomlin has not won a playoff game in a decade. There is a clear difference here

  2. He’s still an elite coach but ngl i think some other guys have passed him. Some of the decisions he makes are mind boggling nowadays

  3. Steelers have not had high end talent. Both are great coaches. People complaining about them are losers.

  4. Sometimes folks just shouldn’t have opinions lol

People were calling for Andy Reids head this year ffs

  5. My dude hated Spo for reaching 2 finals and 3 ECF appearances when our line up, on paper, should not make it out there. Casual as casual one can get

  6. Coaching is the last thing wrong with this team and despite what most nephews think, Kalel Ware is very lucky to be developed here, his next two contracts will thank Spo.

I’ve always defended the FO but something needs to happen by the deadline to improve the front court rotation.

  7. As much as I can have my issues with SOME of Spo’s decisions, the day the Heat let go of Spo is the day I might lose hope for the entire franchise and will reconsider whether watching the NBA is even still worth it.

My wish is to get to see Spo with an actual semi competently built roster for an entire above average health season.

  8. 1. Woj and him are boys big time
    2. 1 finals run thy was bubble and 6 seed
    3. Second final run subpar regular season, Giannis hurt and a weak eastern conference. He deserves a lot of credit but what about Butler? Guy was on another planet.

Have we over achieved or actually under achieved in a weak conference? We are in play in game almost every year with greatest coach in world in a shit conference

  9. Anyone calling for Spo’s head is simply a clueless idiot. But as I said previously, this fan base, especially on this platform, is full of bandwagoners and casuals who simply don’t understand how the Heat work as an organization. Spo isn’t going anywhere. He is going to be able, and rightfully so, to determine how long he wants to be the HC of this team. If you don’t like Spo or how he does things — you have two options: buckle up and enjoy the ride — or go away for good — because he isn’t going anywhere. His job is to manage the team as a whole —- his job isn’t just to manage your favorite player as you see fit. Get over it.

  10. Regardless of what we think about Spo’s rotations right now, he’s still arguably the best coach in the NBA, especially when it’s meant to get the most out of players.

He’s been to 2 NBA finals (a Jimmy Butler 3 away from being 3), and 3 ECF (a Whiteside injury away from being 4) since the big 3, especially when you’ve had talent that was not expected to to be taken that far (especially in 2023).

  11. Spo dragged Jimmy and a bunch of G leaguers to the finals – TWICE. Spo is one of the greatest NBA coaches of all time and he is certainly the best coach in the league right now. The fact the current team is competing speaks directly to Spo’s greatness. The idea that Spo is on the “hot seat” is just hilariously ridiculous.

  12. The thing that a lot of folks are failing to recognize is that we don’t have a superstar on this squad. Do you know how hard it is to get to the playoffs and win a chip w/out a superstar? Think of the last 10 champions and tell me a team that does not have a superstar. Herro was an allstar last yr when healthy, Powell should be one this yr, but 0 superstars.

If anything, Spo has this team over performing. Does he make some head scratching lineups and subs, yes. Is he trying every combo he can to gain an advantage? Also yes. He’s doing well with what he has. Does he secretly want a superstar? Of course he does. But with his character he also loves his guys and wants them to persevere w/out one.

Only people that can take us back to the finals are in that FO.
