1. Hughes, Nico and Bratt….all are small, soft, non physical and avoid contact. Starts at the top

2. Get the losers out of this locker room. Clearly whoever is in the position of leadership isnt doing their job. There is no culture in this locker room and everyone is just fine with losing. How can you make millions and not care about your craft? It’s actually just sickening how they can spit on us fans like that

3. Devils upcoming schedule:

   Jets away, Wild away (that'll be a laugh), Kraken at home, Hurricanes at home – then we go on the Western Canada road trip. Tell me which games we're gonna win, because this could be an absolute bloodbath coming up.

4. I watched till 2-0. Watched some Netflix with the wife after that. Not sure how we got here, but I'm as beat down as you and have now lost hope to even get a wild card spot. Even if they do, I can't see them beating the other division teams in a 7-game series. WTF happened to the team who started the season on a great winning streak? How does this fall apart? I'm baffled.

5. 1, trade Mercer for Sherwood, 2 open talks to trade Bratt, 1st, maybe something other enticing with stipulation take Palat for size, snarl and skill and bring up Lemmi

6. 1-0 my immediate thought was “here we go again.” But I told myself, “no after that trouncing there’s no way that this won’t be a fight. Any hockey team would fight.” Then I watched my hope fade -again.

7. Looks like we could be sellers in several weeks, never thought that'd be the case heading into this season. Unfortunately nobody wants the guys we most want to see offloaded.

10. I used to say “ Hughes brothers are not cup winning material” Now I am thinking they are not playoffs material , maybe not even get into playoffs material . Jack doesn’t belong on team USA for olympics like he didn’t belong on four nations tournament . Hughes brothers are good at playing pond hockey against each other , not against big boys . Someone said it right during the stream : Ace , stop making excuses for Jack . You used to defend Marky , Dougie and Luke until they hit rock bottom . Thank you for your passion and hard work anyway .

12. The other day when NJD called me for the nth time, I was tempted to answer and say not attending anymore until the Fitzy situation is fixed.

13. Ace you need to make sure those Olympic Hockey stadiums are finished before getting on the plane. The ice looks like crap

16. This team as constructed is a f*ckin 10-ply, Mickey Mouse, dumpster fire. As you've said…Jack, Nico, or any other core player are ALL in jeopardy of being shipped for the right return.

17. I stand by what I said in one of your videos at the end of last season where you said we had all this cap space and assets to get 1 or maybe 2 players… and make a run. We needed 3-4 solid players to do anything last season and we still need the same amount for this season. I also mentioned I didn't think we had the cap or assets to do that and we clearly don't. The Devils aren't good… Utica is even worse…. where are all these assets… where is all the cap space? The team is going to be pretty much what it is for the next 2-3 season unless everyone magically starts waiving their clauses. A minor retooling will not help the team. They need 3-4 difference makers on the team.

18. Fitz out and Marty in as GM…at least he has a vested interest in seeing the team win and knows what it takes to win.

19. Friedman addressed the Kovy question today on 32 thoughts. Said the player isn't ready to come back so it isn't an immediate problem for Fitz and the NHL PA etc isn't getting involved(yet). I guess if he isn't back now, Kovy probably won't be back until after the Olympic break/Olympic trade freeze. Fitz getting gifted more time to deal with the hole he dug himself into, but if Kovy gets healthy it would be so Fitzy to have a player file a grievance with the NHL PA because of his incompetence.

20. I was all for getting all three Hughes brother together on this team but now I think its time to reach out to Bill Guerin and see what he will give us for Luke and fragile Jack.

Part of me wonders if the real issue is a rift in the locker room, Dougie blocked a trade for one of the best defensemen in the world, which is his right, that being said Dougie then trots onto the ice and actively contributes to this team losing every night while soaking up 9 mill of cap. How could that not cause a huge disconnect in the locker room? I know I’d be furious. He’s actively sabotaging the season.

22. Sheldon Keefe is not a good coach at all, how many playoff series he blew in Toronto?

23. Gotta think teams line up for Hischier, no? What sort of reset can you start if you trade:

    Hischier, Mercer, Glass, Siegenthaler

    Those are the ones you can realistically trade without asking them to waive a NTC. Then there’s Jack and Luke Hughes. I know they’re not getting traded but will someone make them accountable for the mistakes they make FFS?

24. I remember watching our guys in the 4 Nations last year, especially Jack, and thinking then that our best guys, among the NHL’s best, looked lost and outclassed out there. They were non-entities, having little to no effect on the games being played, outshined by bigger, more professional guys from other teams. I thought maybe we were just a scrappy unit, capable of logic-defying wins, better as a whole than in pieces. Right now we’re a whole in pieces. It’s hard not to want to just bulldoze the whole building at this point.

25. Another spineless performance. Yet fans were happy that Luke scored and it’s made up for the boos he got Sunday 😂😂😂 unbelievable. The core needs to change, I stand by that.

27. Appreciate all you do, Ace. It's a shame. We can only hope by continued blowouts, ownership sees the light, and cans Fitz. Btw I finally heard your story on how the organization revoked your press credentials. Thats disgusting. It really is sad what this organization has become…it kinda reminds me of an old Mark Twain quote: Patriotism is loving your country all the time, and your government when they deserve it. In this situation just replace country with team and government with organization.
