Portland Trail Blazers Second Half of Season Hopes | Things Looked Rough Without Deni Avdija

The NBA season is officially halfway over for your Portland Trail Blazers (which is wild). They ended their first 41 games with a record of 19-22 which, given their multitude of rotating injuries, is not bad at all.

Hopefully they can gear up for an even better second half of the season, they just need to get Deni Avdija back as quickly as possible to do so.

What are Brad and Jethro’s biggest wants for the second half of the season? Take a listen to the episode to find out, we’re not going to spoil it here in the description!

  1. Trade idea: Rob Williams, Matisse Thybulle, 2028 ORL 1st, 2029 Celts 1st, 2026 Mem 2nd, and 2027 Min 2nd for Trey Murphy. Does New Orleans say yes or would the blazers offer need to be 3 1sts including one of the Milwaukee picks?

  2. legit 5 game win streak, the Blazers are cooking ! That injury list doesn't matter, Deni can get the job done. … "oh, uhh, Deni tweaked his back, he's gonna needs some rest" … doh !! there goes that 5 game win streak

  3. I completely agree with you guys. I also strongly believe Deni should be the point guard. Even though Holiday likes to run the offense, I’d rather have him as a secondary guard and a spot-up shooter, along with Jerami and Camara in the starting lineup. We need shooting next to Deni.

Not like the beginning of the season, when Holiday was running the offense and Deni was playing more off the ball.

  4. Deni should be POR’s point guard of the future. He can share the play making duties with a co ball handler, but this team is night and day with and without him as the main initiator. Also just saw he leads the entire league in drives per game, and is 7th overall in potential assists. We really need to find the best way to build around him.
