If coaches don’t have the fix for the Buffalo Sabres powerplay, will Jarmo Kekäläinen TRADE for it?

1. Well, having a former goalie running a power play is just ridiculously stupid. Almost like having a career penalty killer running a power play. Appert needs to be fired then trade Power and Quinn for the top six forward this team has needed for 2 years.

3. Agree on Quinn. This was the game that convinced me he is totally expendable.

5. Tuch is the rental. If u can’t get a deal done just keep him anyway and treat him as a rental instead of moving him before he leaves in free agency with us getting nothing in return. The prospect pool is not as deep as it has been in years past and it’s not as deep as people think. This is why Adam’s was a fool. They had three promising rookies in power Quinn and peterka and they had three elite prospects in ostlund kulich and savoie in 22/23. That was the time to make a move for timo or chychrun. But he didn’t. Now we only have two good prospects. I’m really uncomfortable with everyone throwing out the idea of trading helenius and our first round pick so casually. That would be a massive decision. I’m all for making a trade but I really don’t want to trade helenius. And if we have to trade him u can’t attach a first round pick too. And if they make a trade it needs to be for a guy who has good years ahead of him still who will be here after this season.

7. Let's not sugar coat the Florida game. The Sabres are NOT equipped to win those type of games. Period. I really hope Jarmo is not happy with the way we lost. Yup it was brutal it was old time hockey it was playoff hockey. I'm not sure if we can adjust to that type of game. And if that's the case moves have to be made. And somebodies favorite player might have to move in order to bring in a more nasty talented player. Jack Quinn is a prime example he just can't adjust to tough games.

9. Our PP has no identity, none! Watch most every other team's PP – it is clear of what they are trying to do. Then there is us, looks like we're happy just letting Dahlin shoot from the blue line whether someone is screening or not. Maybe Appert just needs a couple more years to put something on the whiteboard

10. i've been saying get Stamcos for the past two years it would be an amazing addition and it makes sense so of course Buffalo won't do it

11. Fire Appert and see if Peter Laviolette would take an assistant job or dare I say ex leafs assistant Marc Savard as the leafs PP was good last season but sucked this season is this because Marner left?
    Please trade Quinn asap( maybe to Winnipeg for Logan Stanley or Luke Schenn) and give his spot to Ostlund or Rosen. This plus trading Greenway and saying goodbye to UFA Bryson in the summer frees up salary to resign Tuch, Doan Benson, Krebs, Malenstyn, Dunne and Kesselring.

13. It’s a pretty simple solution, GET A NEW ASSISTANT COACH, only thing staff wise jarmo hasn’t done and idk why he hasn’t, Dunne makes me hate greenway even more Jordan is a straight up cream puff slow asf and had no offensive skill, who the hells idea was it to sign him 4mil a year

14. Great comments on power play. Overall trade targets should be Thomas or Panarin.

15. The winningest team in the league has one of the worst power plays also. Go figure 🤷

19. We need a legit top LW, Krebs has no business in the top 6. Just say NO to Panarin, trade for a player with term not that head case. We are going to look foolish if we don't re-sign Tuch with anew GM. We still need a legit goalie. We should have already changed assistant coaches, Appert is terrible. Sabres are the softest team in the league to play against.

20. Quinn for Kiefer Sherwood. 22 hits, 2 ppg, -1 on a red hot Sabres team to 210 hits, 6 ppg, -12 on the last place Canucks. Florida game proved Quinn can't play playoff hockey.

21. The eye test says Tage has been horrible on the PP. Dahlin hasn’t been great either.

    same goes with 6-5 Empty net situations. Tage is a liability out there. He just makes bad plays when we have an empty net.

    Tage is a great player but should not be on the ice in 6 on 5 situations. But how do you tell that to your best goal scorer 😂

    He has a lethal shot for the powerplay but teams take it away and he doesn’t provide much else. It’s just not his fault. If they are taking his shot away we should be able to work the other side or quick down low plays. But it rarely happens. 🤷‍♂️
