Good for him!
He must be so happy in sunny LV away from the TO shit show.

Toronto fans and media are toxic. They drove Marner out of town and Matthews is likely next.
So the new team fans haven’t doxed him yet? Guess that’s a step up.
Nobody cares about your sob story Mitch.
Mitch leaving was in the best interest for both. He was scapegoated especially for his playoff performance. But Toronto also scapegoated Dubas, Keefe, and so on and so on. Matthews is next too, they will chase away one of the best players they ever had because they cant help themselves.
And the Toronto fans have no regrets about you leaving either.
The leaf fans don’t have any regrets either.
We are glad the circus named Marner has left town.
Mitch who?
But for real it’s quiet and I’m sure he’s happy for it.
crybaby of the league
I refuse to click. He’s not a Leaf anymore, and I’m not supporting the news outlets trying to entice me to click because they wanna cash in one more time on their clicky-cash-cow of a player.
Toronto, like New York, is an extraordinarily difficult place to play. (I know this all too well being from the Bronx). So I definitely get the “toxic” comments that people throw about. The NY fans are not exactly happy happy joy joy about the Rangers atm either. And they’re definitely not shy about letting the players have it loudly and often. But I look at Ty Domi – the guy consistently works his ass off every night. On the nights when the superstars’ effort and give-a-shit seems to be in the tank, Ty ends up being their best player consistently. Even if fans can go overboard often, the players who try and bust their ass game in and game out don’t usually hear a lot of it, at least comparatively. Myself, I want to see effort, and passion, and anger, and pride. In the years when Marner was in Toronto (like the Rangers this year) you didn’t see a lot of that once the team came up against it. Mika Zinbanejad is a Ranger, but I can tell he’s trying. Carrick is trying. Quick is trying. Trotchek is trying. Everyone else? Maybe not so much.
Mitch is an amazing player with top-tier playmaking abilities, but his situation was manufactured by him and his camp during the first contract negotiation. They publicized it, which set lofty expectations on him, and he faltered when it mattered. Matthews deserves more criticism in my opinion, but Mitch got more hate because his camp made it so.
Hope it works for him in Vegas, and he can get away from his asshole of a father.
Nobody cares.
I really hate that guy he screwed us over.
You should have agreed to be in traded what a punk when he knew he was leaving he just wants to screw to run all over one last time.
We’re still making this story?
ZzzzzZZZZzzzzzZzzzzzZZZZZ
I still think it’s possible, Paul was the one manufacturing threats to Mitch. Scummy Paul just wanted to spend more time in Vegas. There’s my tinfoil hat take.
I love that Mitch uses the media to control the narrative when he leaves yet says he doesn’t pay attention to any of that noise when they’re criticizing playoffs performances. Vegas wanted you and you wanted Vegas for a lot longer than most of us know. And in your last moment you acted like a very very small portion of extreme fans harassing you was the way we all treated you.
We drafted a Mexican, a Swede and a Toronto based Canadian. You’d never have guessed the one who never understood the Leafs fanbase was the Canadian.
yep sure sounds like he has no regrets
I can’t wait for it to come out that Vegas was in contact with him the entire year while still playing for Toronto. NHL will do nothing of course.
Why is he talking to the Toronto media now? What’s wrong Mitch, miss the spotlight? Poor little fella😂
Just wait until round one of the playoffs this season, when Mitchy is carrying the puck through the neutral zone and swings back to avoid a hit or hesitates going over the blue line or gives it away to avoid a hit. You’re all gonna find out the reality in a couple months, and it’s going to be amazing watching him do it on a different team! His talent is useless when it counts because he’s scared to death of being hit, and the entire league knows it. There’s no way to fix that. Maybe you’ll all figure out who Mitch really is when he’s crying on the Knights’ bench this year.
