Golden State’s Jonathan Kuminga has demanded a trade away from the Warriors as he becomes eligible to be moved Thursday, sources tell ESPN.

  1. It’s fair. He wants to play and thinks he’s got more to show. The team clearly doesn’t see him that way. I’m not even a big fan, but benching a guy indefinitely isnt helping anyone. If we’re not going to use him, trade him. Let the Warriors lock in on the next two years, and let him try to build a career somewhere else.

  2. Can we focus on this being more for content creation for sports journalism more than anything? Everybody already knows, but now the media can ride this into the ground for clicks and views.

  3. Not going to lie we all knew it was coming. It’s a shame JK didn’t work out. I can’t fault the front office for taking them but damn things would look a lot different if we had took someone like Franz Wagner. This just goes to show you in the Steve Kerr system always take skilled players over athletic players. Though I can’t fault them for trying.

  4. Lol aight lil bro. MF trynna pretend like he’s the one making this choice not the Dubs.

  5. Whaaaat?!?! Nobody could’ve seen this coming!!!!! That’s crazy! He was so involved and such a productive contributor!

  6. It seems obvious, but it kinda cuts their current strategy off at the knees. They had been putting it out there that they were comfortable with keeping him to try and maintain some leverage in these negotiations, so this wipes that out to a large extent. Getting ugly fast.

  7. Kill your value so noone will give even a soda and be surprised youre not traded

  8. I’ve been in hardcore “fuck this dude” mode since he bailed on the team weekend in SD at Jimmy’s. I’m actively gonna root for him to fail on his new team. Might be a nice guy but he’s still a fucking cancer.

  9. I am sensing that kuminga have attitude problems. Attitude that the organization does not want to expose because it will damage his image n reduce his trade value.

  10. Both parties need to move on. I’m guessing a multiple team trade. Hopefully sooner than later. Best of luck Kuminga.

  11. That cute back stiffness move right before the January 2nd game(when we needed a body) was the straw that broke the camels back. Let’s just get this over ever with & move on. He got a championship with Dubz, but his behavior & basketball IQ is far from championship pedigree.

  12. All these comments about the team killing his value by not playing him. Kerr wanted to play him when they rested the vets in the OKC game a couple of weeks ago. Kerr told the press he would get playing time. JK decided to sit out with a bad back. When Kerr was asked when JK would come back from injury, he said he didn’t know.

JK and his agent have decided that by not playing, he would not risk injury and ruin his chance to leave. Which actually may be the right decision, look at AD in Dallas, he hurt his hand, now they can’t trade him.

  13. What sucks is I actually liked how he was playing as well as how he was meshing with Steph, Jimmy, and Dray at the start of the season. I think it was only a few games but he looked promising. He had a nice short lived stretch of some Warriors system unselfish basketball. Kid really wants to average 20 a game tho. All the power to him I guess

  14. I don’t understand what Mike Dunleavy Jr is doing. This situation has been going on for nearly 1.5 years and his trade value is the lowest it’s ever been. Truly incompetent front office.

  15. Thanks JK! Your manager sucks btw, get him the FUCK out! All this bc you don’t wanna pass, rebound or play consistent defense.

  16. Do all the people saying they could have traded Kuminga over the summer for more, not understand the salary cap?
