I like the hat a lot. Not a fan of it with the uniform, but wouldn’t hate a second attempt.

I wore one to school for a while. Everyday actually. In 1997. They were pushing this and a reintroduction of the 70’s era “Red-hat era ‘Sox” (mid-70’s) hat that season, especially, at the park. Of course I got one of those then too.
Worse yet, around the same time one of the cap companies produced an alternate one with, gulp, …pinstripes.

I liked the other alternates that they wore that year (that HatClub has in stock currently) – the red hat with blue brim (ala 1975) but with a white B. I wore the shit out of that hat. Happy to have a new version of it. It doesn’t have the idiotic New Era logo on the side either. Double win.
I have no memory of those. But not a fan at all.

Trot’s would have been a whole new shade by Patriot’s Day!
Beautiful abnormality
I had one of these back in the day. Thing was filthy within a month. Loved it back then, but I feel like it would look out of place now.

I honestly don’t remember this. Im guessing they didn’t wear them too often. Was it for interleague games (1997 was the first year they did them)
