  1. I’ve seen the way that man bundles up in the cold weather games. He absolutely hates them. I’m sure he also likes not being taxed by the state for his income. Coaching the offense and eventually the entire team for a Florida team in a southeast division that is also soft as hell and winnable yearly (ie, no dominant team like Patriots did for 20 years and Bills did for a few and now Patriots) seems like it’s an attractive position.

  2. hiring McDaniel would be the most exciting move the Bucs could make to get butts in seats

  3. Jeff’s been beating that drum for a while now. Was also the one that said not to panic when an inteview with the Bucs still wasn’t announced.

His point about the autonomy is a good one as well and appropriate for this coaching cycle. (Was also brought up when we hired Coen.)

Todd probably wants to focus fully on the defense this off-season (which again if he would swallow his pride and hire a DC would be a much easier process.). So, whoever comes in will probably have all the freedom in the world to install and do what he wants.

  4. I’d think so just because it’s easier to move counties than it is to move states.

  5. And perhaps the ability to get the head coaching position after the Bucs give up an average of 30 points per game in the first month.

  6. Don’t let him leave tomorrow without signing a contract Jason+glazers. Idc if they have to sign him for more then what Todd makes fr

  7. Bucs should interview McDaniel on the pirate ship. He’ll love it. Idgaf, tell him he can call plays from the ship.

  8. I get everyone wanting him for OC. I’m down with that but what’s everyone’s sudden obsession with him as a head coach in waiting? He had one really good year in Miami. And even in that year he lost in the wild card round. Otherwise his dolphin’s teams just hovered around 500. Even when he had that super stacked offense for one or two years he couldn’t get out of the first round of the playoffs.

I remember when he first got the head coaching gig he was doing some really unique stuff with the offense but it seems like his teams kinda just fell apart every year other than 2023 when they won 11 games. He took over a decent team from Brian Flores but couldn’t get them over the hump. Their handling of Tuas head injuries was heavily scrutinized.

Is it more just everyone wanting Todd gone and we’ll take whoever over him?
