> I think that when you’re trying to be a great team, it’s hard to trade great players, and A.J. Brown is a great player,” Roseman said. “He wears a ‘C’ for a reason. He’s an important part of this team, of this organization. He cares about winning, he cares about his teammates, and I think when you’re a team like ours that is looking forward to an opportunity to compete for a championship, you just don’t get rid of guys like that.
Water is wet. DUH
I think he was. Not sure he’s great anymore. Happens. He’s not terrible but seems to have lost a step. But let’s see what he does with a ew OC.
Buck herpes, gonads and potatoes.
That’s what I think about people who want to move on from AJ Brown. He’ll be back with a competent OC. Mark my fucking words.
and still the AJ trade rumours will live throughout the offseason
“you just don’t get rid of guys like that.” – Howie Roseman, 1/15/2026
That seems like a pretty straightforward, rock solid quote, so why am I seeing headlines about us being “noncommittal”? Am I missing something or is it just the media twisting things again?
They want me to hate AJ so badly. It’s maddening. Glad this dude has Jesus or whatever he’s doing to not lose his marbles like lesser WR1s would.
I don’t get the hate for AJ. Maybe it’s just been a few years, but did people call for Alshon to be traded this loudly after the drop in the Saints game? AJ is a phenomenal talent and a great teammate. Not sure why you would want to get rid of him
Get someone who uses him right and keeps him in a flow. Hes become a different player then he was on the titans, just watch his highlights with them its almost a different player cause they used him
Means one of two things (or both at the same time).
A. He will be back.
B. The price is at least 2 first round picks.
Why are we trading AJ again?
I didn’t like a lot of what I saw from AJ this year, but that was also in the lens of throwing to him in double coverage on 3rd and long was 75% of the game plan.
But you don’t just decide to get rid of one of your best players… what is the alternative?
I’ll admit, I was frustrated at aj this season and even caught myself saying I wouldn’t mind moving on from him but after some reflection I’m retracting my statement. We got this dude for a late first rounder and he’s been to the Bowl twice with us. I’m glad to have him and honestly with a coordinator who knows how to effectively call routes, AJ could put up a 1300-1500 yard season again.
This is very encouraging to me. No team has a longer track record of getting rid of talented receivers than the eagles.
Unless AJ forces the issue Howie is not trading him.
AJ isn’t going anywhere; nor should he.
I love AJ, but great WRs either give max effort with great receiving chops, or slack off with elite receiving chops. AJ did neither this year
Didn’t he say the same about wentz
Either way, it is smart for Howie to play down trade rumors and back his guy in order to simultaneously back a player on the team and boost his trade value.
I can’t really think of any world in which I don’t want AJ on this team.
Maybe if you got 2 first round picks out of it and one of them was high enough you get yourself Caleb Downs from Ohio State to sure up safety next to Drew.
But then you leave a hole on offense and remove an easy button (that’s covered in an inch of dust from not being used) for Jalen.
We need AJB. He’s staying. Integral part of the offense. A big physical WR that we don’t have on the roster otherwise. Plus, he’s a passionate guy. Overcome a lot to be as good as he is. If you think he’s the problem, you don’t know football.
Good getting rid of AJ now is an overblown reaction
But but but he dropped 2 balls in the playoffs and I’m angry so he must be put into a cannon and fired into the sun. AJ is a beast and makes Devontas game so much better cause AJ takes so much attention to defend. Don’t get me wrong Devonta is my favorite current Eagle and is an absolute baller, but his game would suffer if we didn’t have AJ across the field from him causing defenders to worry about him.
Good hopefully we don’t trade him. I fully believe if we get a legitimate OC he’ll be excited and lock back in. Him and Jalen seem fine too.
People wanting to get rid of AJ were insane anyway. Getting rid of a superstar because they had a bad game or two is how you don’t get back to the Superbowl.
In other words he’s too expensive to get rid of
Great player with a shitty attitude… I freely admit the offensive scheme was weak but watching aj not give a fuck and not try during a playoff game made my blood boil. Everyone keeps blaming nick, but honestly aj brown fucking around is why we lost. This guy seriously threw a game bc he wanted the season to end So he didn’t have to deal with the oc anymore.

JJ Arcega Whiteside, Jalen Reagor, Travis Fulgham.
Did people forget this is who our weapons were not long ago?
You can be upset with the manner in how he handles his emotions, but don’t be upset with him for [speaking the truth about this offense.](https://x.com/espnnfl/status/1989016613664821686?s=46&t=sVxmBol5X8hKBWdTZuXULA)
