One day years from now, everyone will collectively look at this guy’s accomplishments through his college and pro careers and not understand why he was hated the way he was. He represents so much in sports, self improvement, humility and unbelievable resolve that this generation of athletes miss.

Bro I don’t understand it now, he’s only the best QB in franchise history haha. He’s accomplished more in 5 years than any other Eagles QB accomplished in their entire careers with us.
Nobody is perfect, which means that nobody is above criticism. I love Jalen Hurts, he’s our QB. He is a dynamic playmaker that can take over a game. He didn’t play his best ball this year, and I think it’s ok for people to be critical of how he played this year, especially during the last game of the season.
Who hates him?
There’s a difference between what people understand about Hurts and what the comment sections understand lol
This is so embarrassing. Nobody hates him. He’s the most accomplished QB in the history of this franchise but he also has limitations that make it more diffifcult to build around him than other QBs. Both things can be true.
Nobody hates Jalen Hurts, people just get frustrated with his limitations.
“Back in my day everyone hated me for being a hurts fan. To this day I cry myself to sleep because cowboysfan42069 said hurts was mid.”
One day, probably today, I will look at all the clowns hating on him and be like “what a bunch of fucking clowns.”
My only agitation is that Hurts didn’t press the issue with the play calling. You can see AJ on the final play, when that play is called being like ‘you’re fucking kidding me, right?’
I was just thinking about this. He will be seen in a better light by neutral fans during the end of his career. Just look at Joe Flacco, people were calling him a bum (myself included) for years and now he’s liked and respected again all the sudden.
He’s one of the most mentally tough players I’ve ever seen
Jesus Christ man he’s an ever so slightly above average qb surrounded by a blessedly good organization. I’m so sick of this discourse
I don’t think anyone (whose opinion matters) hates Hurts. Thinking there might be a better option isn’t hating someone. Personally, I think Hurts is an excellent QB, been to the big dance twice and won it once. I also think people are unrealistic- Tom Brady, Mahomes, etc etc are once in a generation type talents and maybe (probably) Hurts will never be that. Doesn’t mean he isn’t a damn good QB who is a proven winner. Glad we have him
A lot hated McNabb too. It comes with wearing the jersey. He will be the greatest qb in franchise history and is already pretty close to that. Enjoy the ride and the memories that are being made
TBH I find his character way more impressive than his play. Not that I have a ton of problems with his play, we know what we get for the most part with him and his ceiling can be high at times, but the things he says and the way he carries himself is night and day to pretty any player I’ve seen in sports in decades.
More than likely he wouldn’t be hated at most other franchises tbf.
Is he hated? I just feel like he’s disrespected. Nick, though…
The one things I find perplexing about him is his inconsistency. We’ve seen him throw over the middle, we’ve seen thread the needle, we’ve seen him throw for 300+, we’ve seen him have a perfect passer rating. And then he goes weeks without doing any of those things. Anyone have a theory why he’s so hit and miss?
I like Jalen but some of you may want to just start your own subreddit where you guys can just jerk each other off all day.
Go birds
Feeling like deja vu from back in the Donovan McNabb days. People loved him when he won big games and took the Eagles to the SB, and then hated him when he lost and people thought he didn’t care or he gave up.
I don’t hate jalen at all
Let’s not deny he has issues and they were glaring this year. Doesn’t want to run, doesn’t want to throw over the middle, doesn’t want to take chances on certain throws because of possible ints, doesn’t like to be under center.
I like him, but he needs to recognize his weaknesses and remedy to fix them.
Honestly, he needs to re-grow his fucking balls. He won the Superbowl and became this weird religious football shaman. This season he showed no desire to win. The not focusing on winning the Superbowl mentality was fucking stupid. Use your fucking win as motivation. Honestly, I blame Jalen more for this vanilla ass season now than I do the coaching staff.
💯
He’s our Kobe Bryant. That’s why they hate him.
I will never understand the insecurity Jalen Hurts brings out in some of our fan base. Who actually HATES him or thinks he’s a bad QB? Maybe 5% of the NFL fans in total, if that. Pretty much everyone has him in the top 10 and most have him in the top 5-6. That’s not hated. People talk about him like he’s being treated so unfairly and never given credit.
Just like everyone else, he’s not above criticism. There were plenty of things wrong with this season and we all know what the biggest issue was. Jalen was absolutely part of that though. I don’t know why it’s so hard for some of you to admit that. He played fine this year, but he had a lot of trouble seeing the field and getting the ball out on time for most of the season. I blame the coaching for that, since they shouldn’t have trotted out an offense that relies so heavily on Hurts’ two biggest weaknesses. He also was very slow getting the team up to the line out of the huddle, which is on him.
Just look at the last offensive play of the season. We heard “they ran that play twice in the matter of 10 plays!”. That’s not that uncommon. We heard “San Fran covered us the same exact way for 10 plays!”. That’s not that uncommon in that situation. We do it all the time when opposing teams are in hurry-up. You know what we didn’t hear? We didn’t hear “AJ and Smitty were both in single man coverage with the season on the line”. That is the entire purpose of running the same play again when you pick up on something with the way the defense covered it. We got exactly what we were looking for, but Jalen decided to go to Dallas. To be clear, I’m not shitting on him. Nobody is perfect, that’s an extremely tough situation to be in, and maybe he saw something that made him believe it was there.
I’m saying this as a huge Jalen Hurts fan too. He’s a franchise QB on a huge deal. Nobody is expecting him to be perfect. He’s also not a make-a-wish kid that needs to be babied either. If idiots think he sucks, then let them be idiots and disregard what they say.
