Welp…

  1. Lux is nice platoon piece for the infield, albeit more expensive and less valuable than Walls. Hopefully we get him turned around.

  2. This is a clubhouse add that has been desperately needed. A 2x World Series winning veteran to be a dugout leader.

  3. Rays reach a new Lowe…having 0 on the roster. Lux will play 2B most likely. Doesn’t have a ton of power but he’s a career .256 hitter. Sounds like a decent 2B but nothing to get too excited about. I think Josh Lowe has a ton of talent but he can never stay healthy and his avg has been way down the last 2 years. I know nothing about the pitching prospect.

  4. For whatever reason, I’m still surprised when we trade everyone and get new people. Then yet mid year I be like “oh I love this dude” then I do this again and again. I am however still excited for this year.

  5. We’re about to roll out one of the worst outfields we’ve seen in a while unless they pick someone else up

  6. Im an Angels and Rays fan and this is a good trade for both teams. Hope Lowe can stay healthy Angels need a healthy consistent bat bad with Trout regressing.

Edit: Burke went to Cincy not TB

  7. I thought they’d gotten rid of the wrong Lowe earlier. Hope this pans out!

  8. Jesus Christ will we ever stop being the most poverty franchise in the league?

  9. I don’t hate it since J-Lowe has been replacement level besides one year and is useless against lefties, but it sure stings going form Brandon to… Gavin Lux.

  10. losing lowe sucks but then you realize that he unfortunately has only had one good year and the others were below replacement level. I really liked him though so hopefully he can find his footing in LA (anaheim).

lux isnt super sexy by any means but hes just ok, pretty much been average every year in the league, with some untapped potential that could be brought out, who knows. tbh in typical rays move this guy chris clark might be the prize of this trade and i dont even know who he is

  11. Some of you guys bitch and moan way too much, jesus christ. We’re one of the best run orgs in baseball and you guys were BEGGING for a shake up mid way through last season. Now we’re getting that and it’s a bunch of bitching.

Gavin Lux is a fine player but we’re also clearly re-tooling for the future at a time where it makes perfect sense to do so.

    Go be dodgers fans already
