EXCUSE ME?
Absolutely no baseball in 2027 lol
Lockout imminent
Jesus fucking Christ fuck all the way off.
60 million/year!? Are the Dodgers going to sign Luxury Tax next?
i don’t see why the pirates couldn’t have matched this
Holy fuck

Jesus Christ
That number is fucking mind boggling.
I mean how do you even compete with this?
What the fuck
They gave him a fucking NBA contract lmao.
Good fucking lord that AAV
$60 MILLION A YEAR?!?!?!
This shit is a joke.
this league is such a joke lmao
$60m AAV lmao now let’s see the deferrals
EvErY tEaM cOuLd AfFoRd ThIs – dodgers fans probably
I was crashing out so hard until I saw this, but like how do you offer this much money there is just nothing the Mets could reasonably do. If we paid Tucker this much the entire world would be clowning Stearns
I simply don’t know how any other team could beat that
4/240 is actually absurd
LOL… and now as a Jays fan I’m not upset. So you’re saying King Tuck is worth $10M per year less than Shohei.
$60M 1 year contract after no baseball is played in 2027
All deferred until the andromeda galaxy collides with the Milky Way
Cheap owners are a problem obviously but there are like 3 teams that can spend like this lmao. Dodgers fans love to act like all other teams can do this shit but they blatantly cannot. You think Miami can afford a 400 million dollar payroll?
Yep, totally feasible for all thirty teams, right?
60 million a year for Kyle Tucker is crazy
Literal insanity
Bring on the lock out
Saudi soccer ass contract
Please be like Anthony Rendon please be like Anthony Rendon please be like Anthony Rendon please
I’m all for owners caring about more than their bottom line, but I just can’t understand how this works for the Dodgers. With their tax situation, Tucker is costing them more than $100M/year. On a team that already sells out, where he won’t be the major marketing piece or jersey seller…how is he contributing even half of that marginal revenue?
I’m fairly sure the people running the Dodgers are a tad bit smarter than me, but this seems particularly nuts. And a solid reminder that as much as Dodgers fans tried to remind Jays fans that they were also a high payroll team, the Dodgers are truly in their own league.
In December, Dave Roberts had this to say about LA’s free agency plans: “There’s really no big splash we feel needs to be made because this team is still focused.”

They’ve since signed Edwin Díaz and Kyle Tucker.
