  1. I wanted Tucker but that’s about $20m a season more than I would have been comfortable with the Jays doing. I do think this raises, along with Bregman, the asking price for Bichette and Bellinger and I am hoping that Toronto avoids Bellinger.

  2. A staggering deal that will likely cost us a season of baseball. There is no competitive balance in this league.

  3. alright lets let this be the final post about him. move on since it looks like we only got 1 more season of baseball before jail

  4. Meh. Move on.

Jays have made some amazing moves this offseason.

    Maybe we get Bo back.

The currently lineup is solid. Bo addition would be electric.

    Let’s go blue jays

  5. $500M/14yrs for Vladdy seemed like a lot last year, but looking at this, thank God we signed him when we did…

  6. Its so sad because our ownership is really trying but how the hell do you even compete with this? You can offer massive contracts and it doesnt matter because the Dodgers have no limits.

  7. Insane contract, I don’t think we were beating that and I’m glad we didn’t..

Go overpay for Bo a little bit and run it back, our team has gotten much improved on paper and anyone saying Tucker was make or break is lying.. Tucker is a good player but cmon giving him that much money for a player that’s never had a 1.000 ops is insane.. I’m happy with maybe a Bo for sure and Bellinger to replace the Lukes ABs..

We had that dodger team on the ropes many times, yes we lost but any team is beatable and it is insanely hard to three peat in any sport, especially baseball

  8. Whatever. We missed on the best bat. So get the second one.

Dude hit a World Series game 7 home run on one leg and id love to see him play a year of 2nd base.

  9. Tucker is good….. he’s not a game changing player, ask is he worth more a year then Ohtani? Cause his full salary and bonus averages is 75 million …. starting to think Vladdy was a fucking steal at 35.7…. less then half tucker

  10. Frustrating that I’ve waited my entire life for the Jays to make a real run just for baseball to stop being a real sport at the same time.

  11. I honestly think Bo is better than Tucker in playoff. 60m a year is nuts, the Dodgers overpaid him for sure. I hope we can land Bo still.

  12. If it can’t be us next year, please let it be any 1 of the other 28 teams that aren’t the Dodgers. Even the fucking Yankees.

There are big-market villain teams, and then there’s this monster whose shadow is looming over the entire sport. This is a baseball problem, not just a Jays one.
