My grandsons, (3) all-stars since little league, all-state in high-school, guess what they're playing D1 football because they realized baseball treats 4-year all-American as second class citizens and the NFL rewards college excellence. All 3, would have stuck with baseball if they had the same rookie setup as the NFL.

Of course Jim Doesn't like this because he is a Blue jay fan. Jim has to realize that the Jays could have offered Tucker a long term deal and a short term deal like the Dodgers and Mets did. But they didn't . It looks like the Dodgers will only have Tucker for 2 maybe 3 years. That's all, they need to win the WS in 26 and 27 and Tucker will help that.

As a Jays fan this is a little disappointing but the cost was extremely high. This keeps the outfield as a place where a future star can emerge. Barger, Lukes, Schneider and Loperfido now have opportunities. Also this may leave room at the trade deadline to add what's needed. This isn't a horrible thing for the Jays.
I’ve been saying for weeks that Tucker wasn’t that into the Jays. I wish we’d moved on earlier. How many times are we going to be dropped at the last second. Also…this contract is insane.
