Have the Bulls Let Flexibility Turn into Stagnation with the Trade Deadline Looming?
January 14, 2026
Flexibility isn’t a plan.
Patience isn’t progress.
And for the Bulls, optionality is starting to look a lot like inertia.

Flexibility = We can be either 9th or 10th place

They absolutely will. The fact that we’ve heard zero noise surrounding guys like Huerter, Collins and Vuc is not encouraging
Which excuses/buzzwords will AK use during the trade deadline press conference? Any good guesses? Maybe we can even get a bingo card going.
The Bulls are contending for the play in, so naturally, Reinsdorf will have AKME do absolutely nothing
AKME had a plan. And when that didn’t work out, they weren’t smart enough to have a contingency. Now they just tread water and hope for a Dallas eleventh to first type lottery luck.
At this point I actually think you could copy and paste an article from the past 6 years and put it out as “new”
That’s how cyclical and pathetic this team has been
This shit has been said for years and it’s just so depressing. The play in has been a death sentence for this franchise.
AK dont trust his plans
People are continually just hitting their own head against the wall at point, if your unwilling to accept, this season is currently within the range of positive outcomes for this Franchise.
Now, I’m sure they’d like to be better, but also, I believe they’d rather be where they are then take on more money (and likely still be a mediocre bottom of the east type team) or strip it bare and being a noncompetitive team while waiting(hoping) for a true star.
There was a time that thinking probably seemed overly cynical, but at this point, the teams actions continually to solidify the fact that it’s an absolute truth.
I hate this team so much
Most boring and direction-less franchise in the NBA. It’s going to take a generational superstar, a real GM and a committed owner to turn this around. The Bulls have none of the above.
They have the flexibility to over pay a bunch of role players this summer because no one worth anything wants to sign with them.
Another problem, Matas and Giddey are the only players to build around/develop. There’s only a handful of other players under contract next season and they’ll all merely rotational/bench players who have most likely already peaked. The only other prospects they have are either injured (Essengue), pretty much been given up on already (terry and philips) or are extreme long shots to even be bench caliber players (lachlan, yuki)
I THINK ITS TIME FOR A NEW BILLBOARD – SELL THE TEAM JERRY
